" I believe in true love. I believe you can walk into a shop look around and find the person you want to spend the rest of your life with."

Lindsey's P.O.V

I wakeup and look out the window. Wow what a beautiful view I can't believe I live on the beach in California. But sadly I have to go to work at the bakery instead of going to the beach on another beautiful summer day.

Don't get me wrong I love the bakery. Working with my mom is great I just I wish I had a few days off here and there.

Ding dong. Ding dong. Ding dong.

My stupid phone why did I set it to the most annoying sound, when I set my alarm.

I walk over to my where my phone is normally at. Sitting on the desk. But was it there? No of course not.

Ding dong. Ding dong. Ding dong.

"Shutup!"

By now I'm tearing apart my whole room to find my phone. Clothes are flying everywhere.

"Where the heck is that stupid phone!"

And of course it's in the one place I don't think of looking.

My bed.

7:00 am Saturday July 1st .

"It's 7:00 am ! Seriously ! I hate my life!"

I run to brush my teeth and put on my uniform shirt, shorts and hat and run to the bakery across the street.

I walk in slowly so my heart will stop racing. Yes the bakery is across the street but my driveway is at least two miles long. And I'm late so my mom is going to kill me.

I run and put my apron on hoping she won't notice I was there at 6:30 and its now 7:30.

"Lindsey honey come over here and help me with something in the backroom."

It wasn't a question it was an order I didn't have a choice. Goodbye phone. Goodbye friends. Goodbye days off. Goodbye life.

"Yes mom coming!"

The back room was where the magic happens. Actually it's where we bake everything. There is about three double ovens and long steal tables where we decorate our deserts and smaller steal tables and wooden cabinets where we keep supplies.

"Lindsey you're late, again! I understand that it's summer and you like looking outside for hours when you wake up but that doesn't change the fact that you have to be here on time! No phone for two days and your on clean up duty until you start showing up on time. Now hand over your phone and get to work!" I could see all the emotions in her eyes she didn't want to punish me but she wanted me to start being responsible again. I've been late for two weeks I have been waking up late. And it has to change, and I respect my mom and I'm going to listen to her even if I don't want to give her my phone.

I take my phone out of my pocket and turn it all the way off, that way she won't be annoyed by all the notices it makes. I hand it over like she wanted and I go back to work.

Im so glad that we live in California even if I hadn't really had time to make friends since we moved here in the summer I only know my neighbours. Amber on the left is 25 and Nicole on the right is only a year older than me she's 17 .

All the boys here they are all so cute but I haven't got to meet any yet because I'm a bit shy and I'm always working when the sun is out.

-------------------------------------

12:30 time for break . Normally I would go home and text people and have lunch but since I don't have my phone ill just eat a little bit and get back to work.

Oh the joy that is my life.
