Carter's P.O.V

"Carter!!!!! Breakfast!!!!"

My eyes flicker open as the voice of my little brother, Mason, fill my ears. Can a girl not get her time to sleep? Why is it that we have to have family breakfast? I mean, who does that? That is just a way to mess up my sleeping time. I need my beauty sleep; 8 hours straight, no disturbances.

I groan loudly then get up. Still in my pajama pants an tank top, I walk to the kitchen. I can already see my mum, little brother, elder brother and little sister. I take my usual seat next to Millie, my sister then yawn.

"You look like crap." Conner, my brother says.

"Connor, watch your language." My mother scolds. Connor just smirks and takes a sip of his orange juice earning a glare from my mum.

My brother is always one to piss off mum. He like to have parties here, stays out late going to parties and gets in too much trouble at school but he manages to get good grades, do his chores, take care of Millie and Mason and help out mum when she needs his helps. I think it's safe to say Connor is weird and a fake bad boy.

"How did you sleep, dear?" My mum asks me.

"I slept well." I says and smile.

"I'm going to go grocery shopping later, please take care of Millie and Mason." My mum asks me.

"Sure." I say.

I'm the more responsible one. Even though Connor is 18 and I'm 16, mum trusts me more. After breakfast, I clear up the table and wash the dishes while Connor listens to loud music in his room, Millie and Mason play in the garden and mum goes shopping. I start cleaning up the kitchen. Our kitchen is quiet small but it's enough for the 5 of us. The house is also kind of small; 4 bedrooms, a laundry room, a living room, kitchen and a small hallway leading to the front door. There is also a back door and window in the kitchen. As I finish up, a muddy Millie and Mason barge through the door.

"Freeze!!!!" I shout.

They stop death on their tracks and grin.

"Carter, we have new neighbors." Millie says.

"Next door." Mason adds.

"Seriously? No one has lived there for 6 years." I say as I make my way to the small window and open the binds. "Millie, Mason, take off your shoes and change to cleaner clothes."

I look through and see a moving van and a car. I can't believe people are actually moving into that house. As I watch, I see a woman walking out of the car. Her bright blue eyes looking tired and worn out, her blonde locks tied up in a messy bun while stray strands poke out in all directions. Trailing after her is the cutest little girl I have ever seen. She looks about 3. Her little brunette curls are tied up in a cute ponytail. Her ocean blue eyes shining with excitement and it's clear that she is not tired but happy and lively.

I don't know what I'm expecting next but it's definitely not the hot bad boy. His brown hair is ruffled to the side, messily. His brown eyes show a bored and tired expression while his pink lips are in a straight line. His arms look so muscular in his black shirt that is tight but not too tight and his legs covered by gray washed out jeans.

"Honey, what are you looking at?"

I turn feeling my cheeks flush with embarrassment. Here I am, caught staring at my new hot neighbor by my mum.

"Umm...... I was just looking..... We have new neighbors." I stammer.

My mum laugh at me, her forest green eyes shining with amusement. People say I am a lot like my mum. Not only do we have a same funny, friendly and sarcastic personality, we also have the same features with are forest green eyes, wavy brown hair- that I manage to always have messed up while my mum keeps her's neat- same fair skin and not too long legs. I dyed my hair a lottle though so it's different from my mum's. I am considered quiet short but I don't mind that; I actually really like my height, I call it 'Fun Size'.

"Oh, really?" She asks. I nod slightly still trying to recover from the embarrassment. "Wow, I didn't think anyone would finally move into that house."

"Same here." I say. "I'll be in my room; I need to finish off some homework." I run out of the kitchen, upstairs to my room.

My room is the one at the end of the hallway. It's not the biggest nor is it the smallest. I also now notice that it is directly opposite one room from the neighbor's house meaning my window is right opposite the other. Hopefully it isn't the hot boy's room. I painted it white and filled the walls with many posters of my favorite bands like, 'DNCE', 'One Direction', 'Fall Out Boy', '5SOS', and many more. I also have some posters of Demi Lovato, Lily Collins and more of my favorit celebrities. I have a small couch and bean bag as well as a bed and a desk with my laptop on it.

As usual, my room is so messy. You can't blame me, I have too much to do; homework, chores, friends...... The list is too long. I walk over to my desk which has so many papers and books so I clear it and that causes me to start cleaning up my whole room. I make my bed, clear my desk, bookshelf and couch and I even organize my closet.

When I'm done, I take a shower and wash my hair then wrap myself in my towel. I put on some music and I dance as I walk to my closet. I pick out a light blue tank top, gray sweat pants and some soft socks. As I'm about to dress up, I remember that my window is opposite the other window from the neighbor's house. I close it then put on my pajamas.

"Carter!!! Dinner!!!" Mason shouts.

What is up with Mason and shouting today? I tie up my hair in a messy bun then rush downstairs for dinner.

"Carter, please help me with the food?" My mum says from the kitchen. I rush there and help er put then we sit at the table.

"The food is great, mum." Connor says. My mum rolls her eyes.

"What do you want Connor?" My mum asks.

"Nothing big. There's a party at 10, I want to go." Connor says.

"Curfew is at 2, don't forget." Mum says.

"Does that mean I can go?" He asks. Mum effortly nods.

"You're the best mum, love you." He says and kisses her cheek. She laughs and continue to eat.

Dinner is quiet and nice then after that, I clear up then go to my room and take out my phone. I begin to text, Bianca, my best friend. I tell her about my new neighbors, my day and she does the same then we just chat and laugh. As I text, I start to hear loud music and laughter. My new neighbor already has friends over. I roll my eyes and continue to text but the loud music is so annoying especially because I don't like that kind of music, rap.

I get really annoyed so I walk over to the curtain and open it.

"Will you please keep it down?" I shout.

I look and see that it's the hot bad boy with the hottest, most popular guys at Lakeview High; Dylan, Seth, Jake, Nate and Ryan. When they see me, they all smirk.

"Why would we do that, love?" Dylan, the player, asks with his blue eyes sparkling with excitement.

"I'm trying to relax, you're music isn't very relaxing." I say.

"But it relaxes us." Seth says. I roll my eyes.

"Please." I plead.

"Sure, but you owe me, princess." The hot neighbor says.

"Whatever." I mutter. I don't really care, I'm too tired to even bother.

I close my curtain then get into bed. It's getting late anyway. I close my eyes and let deep slumber take me away.
