"Will you please remind me again, why I went with you?" Alicia looked tiredly over at the man next to her. His hands around the steering wheel, looking way to calm for the situation. His dark brown eyes, fixated on the road ahead of them.
Never leaving the grey asphalt they were driving on, driving a bit slower than the speed limit. Something that made Alicia far more uncomfortable, than if he been shooting over the road like a rocket.
He looked in his side mirror, gently speeding up a bit, a smirk, forming on his lips.
"I am speaking to you." She rolled her eyes, leaning her head against the window. Her voice now only a raspy whisper, from hours of yelling and screaming before and after they got in the car.
"You went with me, because you didn't want to get caught." He looked over at her, removing one hand from the steering wheel, to brush away a big chunk of black hair, covering Alicia's face, letting his rough hand quickly brush against her soft face.
She annoyed looked over at him, sending him a look that could kill, her lips pouting and her eyebrows pulled together, creating a deep furrow on her forehead.
"Oh, so we are actually speaking?" Alicia mocked, slapping his hand away, watching as a big grin formed on his lips, as his hand practically flew over in his own face, almost slapping himself. Almost.
A car passed by them with the speed of light, leaving a tray of dust and few stones up in the air for them to drive in.
"See? That is how fast we should be driving. We aren't on our way to visit my grandma." Alicia puffed, shaking her head in the meantime, causing her hair to fly all over the place.
He rolled his eyes in response, having both hands on the steering wheel again, now not even bothering to answer Alicia.
"Ignoring me? You haven't even told me your name! I don't even know where we are going." Small tears escaped her eyes, causing her to start rubbing it over her face, smearing makeup all over the place.
The road getting bumpier, shaking them all over the place, as he turned the car, out into the dessert.
"Obviously neither does you! The road is behind us!" panic starting to take over in Alicia's body for the fourth time that night, as she felt her heart speeding up, and adrenaline getting pumped around in her body, faster than her heart pumped it around. The palm of her hands starting to get sweaty.
"Just trust me will you? You have done nothing but criticise me the whole time," he looked over at her, seeing anxiety grow in her grey eyes, and her cheeks flush a deep red. Her breath starting to hitch.
"And scream." He slowed down again, focusing on the small dessert parts, being lightened up by the cars lights, in the darkness, which continued growing.
