I didn't sleep at all last night. Honestly, I was to scared to sleep. It was Saturday today. I went to go get some breakfast. I made waffles. I knew I couldn't tell anyone what had happened last night. They would think I'm completely crazy if I did. I then hear s knock at the door. I went to go answer it to see a girl. She was s bit shorter than me, bleached hair, bright blue eyes, and was very familiar. I remember her from somewhere, I thought. But I wasn't very interested to finding out who she was. "Umm... Is the the Dahlberg residence?" She asked. "Yeah it is," I continued, " what do you need?" She looked nervous and very upset. She was trying to hold back some tears. "My dad was murdered here a few years before we moved."( side note: I moved in about two years ago. But it wasn't too far, just in a different neighborhood.) The girl paused for I minute to calm down. "And there is some important stuff in here we need to get." She seemed really upset and I couldn't just not let her in. I had to! Her father was murdered here and some of his belongings are in this house. But my parents are asleep. And if the wake up to a girl that looks my age walking around my house, there going to freak. "Could you give me I minute please?" I close the door.i then try to walk up the stairs but I feel lightheaded, my vision gets blurry, and I fall to the ground. The last thing I remember is the door swinging open and I see a black figure standing at the top of the stairs. It looks like the one I saw last night. And then. Black.

I wake up in my bed. The girls head was hovering over my face. She calls outside the room. "Guys! He waking up!" My parents then come into the room. My mom holding a glass of water and my dad looking at me with a very concerned look. "Here honey," my mom continues. " drink some water it will make you feel better." I sat up and grabbed the water. I took a drink of it. It tastes salty. But I drank it any way. My parents left to give me some rest. The girl looks around closes the door and walks towards me and sits next to me on my bed. She looks at me and says, "You saw him too, right?" I stared at her in confusion but I knew who she she was talking about. "The man." She said, "the shadow man!" I was surprised she saw him too. I ran to the door and said, "Follow me." We started running to the library. "W-what's your.... Name anyway?" I said in between breaths. "Sierra Jones" she held her hand out. I put my hand out to shake hers. "Austin," I continued "Austin Dahlberg." We walked into the library. Sierra looked around, "So uh what are we doing here?" I walked over to the computer and sat down. "Research on that shadow man we saw." Sierra looked like she just saw a ghost or something and asked, "Do we really need to do research? I mean it could of just been my reflection." I looked at her and said, "I just saw that thing last night! It tried to kill me!" She took her phone out of her pocket and said "I have to go." That was weird I thought. I walked home. Finished eating my waffles. Went to bed early.
