Uncle, thankfully, decides to listen to me after the 15th time when I demand that he pulls the truck over (good idea) so I can help Victor, who by the time Uncle pulls over looks on the verge of a mental breakdown.

And when he does stop, I practically throw myself from the front of the truck and run round the back, where the boys are. Sean is giggling and not looking so dead any more, Owen is trying to get over the side of the truck to chase a butterfly (what is it with him and butterflies?) before being stopped by a bemused Uncle and Kota is rolling about on the floor, making happily gurgling noises that babies make when happy. The only one not happy, like I told Uncle repeatedly in a raised voice that could be classified as shouting, was Victor (or, as Uncle knows him, Terry).

The second I appear around the back of the truck, Victor launches himself at me and sobs into my shoulder.

" Shh, shh, it's alright my little Prince," I coo to him as I rock him slightly, "no more riding in the back of trucks for you, Princey!" calling him my prince seems to calm down Victor slightly, who, after a while, lets his little head emerge from where it was snuggled in my jumper and I am faced with his fire eyes. Even as a baby, his eyes are as firey as they were when he was an adult.

How does he do it? Is there a switch or something that you have to switch to get them to come on? Or is it just something he was born with? I must interrogate him when he grows up to his rightful age again. There is no way I am interrogating a baby. I'm not that mean... At least, I don't think I'm that mean...

It is then that my phone starts ringing. Victor's head shoots towards where it is ringing from, and with a heavy blush I pull it from my bra and click the green button, not even bothering to look who is calling me.

" Hello?"
