As usual the weather in Washington is cloudy and dreary. The clouds hung low and were quite dark on this crisp winter morning, indicating that there might be a chance of snow later on.
The residents of Hawkstone were doing their usual business. Some off to work, mothers getting their children to stop messing around in the little bit of snow that fell a few days ago. People out for a morning jog, the usual things that you would expect.
In a small blue double story house, just at the end of the road that leads to the town center, there was a certain young teen who was still fast asleep. Not noticing or hearing the snickers and murmur just outside of his room.
Suddenly the door crept open slowly, as two young children, twins, a boy and girl sneaked in, both sill in their pjs.
The girl was holding her pink cove iPhone in her hand, her auburn hair covering half her face. She slowly made her way to the desk at the one side of the room, muffling her giggles
The boy on the hand was holding something in his hands as he crept to the bed where the still sleeping teen lied.
The girl help up her phone and using her hands as a indication showed to her brother that she was ready and recording.
Once the other twin saw this he lifted the items in his hands up. It looked like a bottle of shaving cream and blue food dye. He uncapped the shaving cream and sprayed some in the sleeping victims hand. That he took the food dye and using a earbud rubbed them in the eyebrows, causing them to turn blue.
Once everything was set the young boy took a feather and stuck it in the teens ear. When that happened the teen used his free hand to try and swat away the thing that was irritating him.
Next thing the teen felt was a cold foamy mess and heard a squish and laughter, he sprang up from his bed seeing two young certain set of twins run out of his room, laughing at the events that took place.
'You little piece of -' he shouted after them, not finishing his sentence.
'I swear they get it from Loki' he groans.
He stood up from his bed heading to his personal bathroom, getting ready for the day.
After a quick shower the teen stood in front of the mirror, his black hair with their silver and ice blue tips still dripping water. The teen leaned on the bath sink, his hazel green eyes staring back at him.
'Come on Jake, just another few days and you get to go,' he said to himself as he stood up and started to get dressed.
A few minutes later Jake headed down to the kitchen, where a amazing scent of baked goods whiffed through the house.
'Hey mom,' Jake greeted the short black haired women standing in front of the stove. He took a seat at the small square table at the side of the kitchen.
'Morning sweetheart!' She replied, 'Did you get a good night sleep?'
Knowing what his mom meant by that, he just stayed quiet. It was silent for a while, his mother sighed softly, not wanting Jake to hear.
'I made your favorite, red velvet waffles.' She hoped that it would cheer him up.
'Thanks mom, I'll take them to school for lunch.'
This was the usual thing that would happen. On some days Jake would not eat much at breakfast and his mom knew that he would only have a bite of the food at school.
But Mellisa was use to this, after the events that took place 2 years ago, her son was not trying or even caring anymore. What made her sad was that most of the time he would act his normal self and the next day it was like he put up a wall.
'Ok, I'll pack it up for you'
'Thanks mom, you're the best!' He said, standing up and giving her a kiss on the cheek.
He stood up and headed to his room to get his things for school. Few minutes later he left the house. Once outside he leaned against the door and let out a deep sigh.
As he started to head to his car, as it was too cold for the bike, he noticed a moving truck drive past and stopped at a house a few blocks down. He noticed a black Jeep already there with a family of three get out.
Jake though it was strange as you usually don't have any new people that move to Hawkstone. It wasn't that big or great of a town.
Then Jake noticed a boy with blonde hair about his age scan his surroundings, the boy soon stopped and looked at Jake.
The boy seemed to squint his eyes and look normal again, then it looked like he was giving Jake a slight smile. At that Jake felt a cold shiver go down his spine and got into his car, not wanting to be late for class again.
'Why do I have a feeling that today is gonna be a long one.'
