Chapter 9: Just Friends

Clove

It's been 3 months since Owen and Tommy's wedding in April. 3 months since Jason has seen his father and boy is he not letting me forget it.

"Daddy!!!!" Jason cries from his crib.

"Shh baby I know. But daddy isn't here anymore." I say picking him up and bounce him in my hip.  "But mummy is here."

"No!  Want daddy!!" He screams.

"I love my nephew but shut him up!" George says from his room.

"I'm trying. " I yell and Jason cries harder.

"For godsake Clove just take him to see Draco. I know what he did was awful. But you can't hide him away from him. They both know about each other there's not point in trying to hide him." George says walking into the room.

I sigh. "You're right here." I say and give him Jason. "I'll go write him. "

I walk out of the room grab a scrap of parchment and write.

Draco,
      Don't take this the wrong way. Meet me at the park in 15 minutes. Jason wants to see you.           

              Clove

I tie the note to Athena and tell her to go to Draco.

"George get Jason ready. We're going to the park." I yell as I tie up my hair and pack the diaper bag.

5 minutes later I get a response.

Ok I'll be there but I know Jason isn't the only reason you want to see me.

I roll my eyes. You've got to be kidding me. I'm done Draco. So done.

"He's ready but won't stop crying."  George says carrying Jason.

"Well it doesn't matter." I say taking Jason from George. "Shh baby. Guess what. Guess what. We're going to see your dad. Ok. So shh. We're going to go see dad."

I think Jains understands because he calms down. "Daddy?" He asks.

"Yeah. We're going to see him." I say and grab the diaper bag.

"Bye George we're going to the park. " I say. "Say bye uncle George."

"Bye ncle orge" Jason says and waves.

"Bye little man." George smiles.

It's only ten minutes walk to the park. Once I see the park I put Jason down to walk a bit. He
Can walk but only for a bit until he falls.

Draco is sitting on a bench when Jason sees Draco he yells. "Daddy." And takes off running.

Draco looks up and smiles as his son stumbles to reach him. Draco catches him right before he falls and swings him above his head.

"Hey buddy long time. No see huh." Draco smiles and tickles Jason's tummy. Causing Jason to erupt into giggles.

"There's my happy baby again." I say to Jason.

"Tank hue mummy." Jason says.

"Everything ok. I didn't see you at the annul anniversary ball?" Draco asks.

"Fine. I had to work so I couldn't go. Besides didn't have a date. "

"Oh." Draco says. "Have you been good for mummy?" Draco asks Jason.

"Yes daddy." Jason says and nods causing me to snort.

"What?" Draco asks.

"He's been throwing tantrums  and saying no to mummy." I explain.

"Whys that?" Draco asks Jason.

"Miss hue daddy." Jason responds.

"That's okay but you have to listen to your mummy ok?" Draco asks.

"Okay daddy." Jason says.

"Teddy!" Jason exclaims pointing at a pink haired toddler.

"Jason!" Teddy says and runs over with His grandmother andromeda following him.

The two toddlers hug each other and run to the slides climbing up the stairs.

"Hey clove dear. " andromeda says.

"Hello andromeda. This is-"

"Draco." She says finishing for me.

"Yes that's right. Nice to meet you." Draco says holding out his hand.

"That's no way to greet your aunt." Andromeda responds.

"I'm sorry?"  Draco asks.

"I may not look like it but I'm your mother , Narcissa's, sister. "

"Oh I remember her mentioning you a few times. "  Draco says.

"All bad things I bet. " andromeda sighs. "Well I'll watch the children while you talk. Nice meeting your Draco and nice seeing you clove." she says and walks over to the kids.

"That wasn't awkward  at all." I smirk. 

"Tell me about it." Draco sighs and runs his hand though his hair.

He opens his mouth to say something but I stop him.

"No you will just listen. The past three months Jason has been crying and asking for you. Now I'm not going to be cruel and stop you from seeing him so we need to set some rules. You can see him on weekends and on Wednesdays because I have the late shift at the hospital and won't be back until 12 maybe later." I state.

"That's fine but-" Draco begins.

"I'm not done. In order for this to work we are going to be friends. Just friends. Ok nothing more. Think you can handle it?" I ask.

"Yes but-"

"Them there's nothing more to discuss."

Draco sighs "ok. So Blaise and T. J's wedding is next mouth. I was asked to be the best man."

"Cool. T. J hasn't said anything but I think it's going to be Amber. I mean T. J was the maid of honor at her wedding. It makes sense. She's also know T. J the longest. "

We sit in silence for a bit. "Well it's getting time for Jason to eat." I say standing up.

"Right of course." Draco says standing up as well.

"See you Wednesday." Draco says going in for a hug but I stop him.

"We're friends but not that good of friends. " I say. "See you Wednesday" I say walking away from Draco and over to were teddy, Jason and andromeda are and pick Jason up and starting walking home.

Sorry it's short but what do you guys think. Should I have Draco and clove back together or no. Thanks for all the support.
