I walked into my 3rd grade classroom. I was sooo nervous. I had just transferred to Ottawa prep from a Minnesota school. Oh,I should probably introduce myself. I'm Ella Pikula.
As you know I just moved to Canada from Minnesota. Anyways, back to my story. My 3rd grade teacher was Ms.Farelee. So I walked into Ms.Farelee's class and I find my desk. I noticed that the girl that sits next to me is named Layla. I think that is a very pretty name.
Just then somebody else walks into class. She sets her stuff on the desk next to mine. Then she introduced herself.
"Hi! My name is Layla. I just moved to Canada from Minnesota."
"Hi Layla! My name is Ella. I just here from Minnesota too!"
"Nice too meet you Ella!"
"Ditto!"
From then on Layla and I were pretty much inseparable. We spent all of our time together.
At recess Layla and I would always make up super weird games. At lunch we would purposely get the same food to eat. We would always sit together.
By the end of the school year we were like sisters. I mean literally. People would come up to us and ask us if we were sisters. We asked them why they would think that and they said cuz we were together all the time after school also.
I guess that is kinda true. After school we would walk to her uncles house with her dog. I would hang out there for about 10 minutes. Then I would walk a few blocks to my house. By the time I got home Layla would be calling me non- stop. 3rd grade helped me out of my "turtle shell". It was one of my favorite grades.I hope you all like this story so far.
