Chapter One: Defensive Much?

"Yvette!" My friend Drew whined. "Yeess?" I say innocently. She gave me the look 'are you serious' face and I laughed "Awww come on Dre- its obvious you loooove her" I said as she blushed and viciously shook her head "N-No! Your getting it all wrong Yvette" she put her hands out as a truce. I accepted it for now. "Hey Vette, Drew, did you hear a new sudent is coming tommarow?" My classmate Ayaka asked. "Boy or girl" I questioned gnawing on my sandwhich. "Boy". I shot my head up "Reeeeeaallly.... Proceed" I say intrigued. "His name is like Noah Angel I think. Hes supposed to be really hot" Ayaka said smiling to herself" I look and Drew and Ayaka and scream "DIBS HES MINE (probably)" Thrown off guard Ayaka screams "No wait Vette!" Drew just watched and chewed on her apple, then said "Why are you guys argruing? You haven't even met this guy you should get to know them, and Ayaka, Yvette called dibs, she gets first convo" I silently agreed but cheered myself. "Stupid lesbian, always right" Ayaka said under her breath. Drew got up and walked way, not before she said "Heard that Yaka" and with the last say she walked away.
"Your just mad because I get to talk with him first" She shot a glare at me and I stuck my tongue out. Her glare turned into a smile "Hes supposed to be hot" she smiled wickedly and skipped away humming Jar of Hearts. I only sigh and scratch my head confusingly 'At least its a guy, we either get girls or ugly guys, for a chance there mught be a hot one, hopefully'. I sigh collecting my things when I was about to leave a hand slid over my eyes and the other trailed.... lower. "Guess who" a voice tickled my ear. I roll my eyes and take his hand off my face and turn my head to look at him. "I don't know... how about Zack Pordermen?" He only laughs and his hand remain on my waist. His eyes trailed lower. "Enjoying the show?" I say snapping him back to reality. He took his hands off and laughed nervously "Sorry, but hey! Your going to Sensei Helios right? Let me walk you there" He suggested. "I dont know something bad might happen to me resulting in you getting severely injured" I say before walking away knowing he was trailing behind me. I could feel his smirk against the back of my head. "Okay, okay I wont try anything for now. But I cant promise the future" he says smiling as he caught up with me. "Soooooo movies Sunday at 6?" He asked. "In your dreams, but yeah sure I dont mind" he snapped his fingers, it reminded me of Swiper from Dora saying 'Oh meeeun'. "Whatever your missing out shortie" he snickered. I only slapped the back of his head "I am NOT short, I am just more down to Earth than other people. Kira-Kira BAKA (Glittering idiot)" he rubbed the back of his head and sighed at his nickname. "Oooooooo Yvette, did you two finally tie the knot?" Asked one of my classmates as I walked by. I shake my head. Walking father down the hall I hear wolf whistles and guys saying "Dont kiss her before I marry her Zack!" Or "Nice catch Zack" I only shivered. We walked through an empty hallway when I was shoved against a locker harshly. I glare at one of my classmates Cameron staring at me wayyy too low. I put my hands on his chest and struggled to push him off "Get off me Cam!" I yell at him as I see Zack getting held back by Camerons friends. He laughs and shakes his head "Now why would I do that baby (I don't like refering to babe cause I get confused)" I only glare at him. "Leave her alone" Zack yells pushing his way through the group of boys. Cam pushed me into a group who hekd me back then walked up to Zack menacingly. "Why should I?" He says pushing Zack into a locker. "Because she doesnt like it!" He yells shoving him back. "Well I dont like when other people touch my things" Camrons laughs. Zack snapped and threw a punch at Cameron who dodged it and Zack took a harsh kick to the stomach. I stood there watching helplessly as Zack was brutally beaten. I struggled uselessly against the grip of jocks and screamed at them. I then savagely bit the finger of one of them drawing blood as they let go of me and I jumped on Camerons back. He reacted and fell into a locker. I rushed to aid Zack and felt a stinging pain in my head. Cam was pulling my hair "I hate it even more when my things touch other people" he yelled yanking me away. I kicked him in his shin and elbowed his crotch. Me and Zack went running down the hallway to the nurses office. We rushed in and sat him down. "Oh dear what happened" The nursed gasped clutching surgical tools. "He fell into some locker" I lied trying not to get in more trouble with Camron. Our nurse nodded and bandaged him up. She gave us a pass and me and Zack walked to our classroom. "You didnt have to do that" he said breaking the silence "Lieing, beating up Cam" I shook my head "Of course I did! It was mostly personal since I was called a thing" I shivered he only smiled sincerely and open the door to our class room. "Oh its seems Ms. Mason and Pordermen decided to come to class" Our sensei said tapping her foot. We handed her the note and I bowed "Gomen (sorry) Zack was being stupid again" I insult apologetically. She nodded and sent us to our seats. "So as most of you know, a new student will be coming to our class tommarow-" she trailed on. I looked over and saw a boy I didnt know staring at me, I guess Zack noticed because he smacked the kid hiddenly and he apolgized. Zack look at me and mouthed 'Your welcome' I nod and mouth 'Defensive much?' Back. He looked agrivated by that and ignored me. "Our new student will have a brand new seat in the back, and all of you will treat him with respect" she scolded glaring at Camron. "Yes Sensei Helios" we say in usion. The bell rang quite loudy. "Alright class dismissed have a good rest of the day" She bows and everyone throws their backpacks over their shoulder. Zack walks over to me like he usually does and walks me home. "Lets goooo" he urges. I nod and walk out with him.
"AHHHHH freedom" I yell dramatically sniffing the air. "Calm down crazy" Zack demands. "Hiiiiiiiiyaaaaaa"I scream loudly karate-chopping Zacks neck. "No one tells me what to doa" I say in my best Chang Lee voice. "Oh your going to regret that." Zack said ominously walking towards me. I start screaming and running away from him as fast as I could. I ran around a sharp corner and bumped into something falling on my butt. "Bèn baka (stupid idiot)" I whisper rubbing my butt refrering to myself thinking I had run into a wall "Ma (Yes) I know" An unfamiliar voice said. I open my eyes and a boy my age was on the ground aswell. I immediately shot up and held a hand out for him. "GOMEN GOMEN! I wasnt referring to you, I referring to myself" He gladly accepted my hand. A shadow lingered behind me "HIIIIIIIYAAAAAA" Someone screamed in my ear. I then feel a sharp pain on my back. Two arms lift me up "You do nota runa way from mea" Zack said in a Chang Lee voice. I only laugh and look back at the boy who I trampled. My eyes searched for him but he wasnt to be found. It was like he just poofed. "Lets go trouble maker" Zack said putting me down and walking again. I was still looking for the boy confused. "Whats the matter Yvette? Lets go!" I nod going back into reality. 'Did imagine it?' I thought walking to my house. When we get there I wave Zack goodbye and a thought entered my mind 'Im going crazy' I open the door to my house and close it behind me.
