I pulled away from her to examin every last emotion dancing in her eyes. I loved that she opened up to me and even though I had learned about the darkness of her past, I didn't want her any less. I was confused, very confused, about the messages she was sending me. Kind of like petals on a flower. 'She loves me, she loves me not.' But I knew for sure, nothing could make me stop loving her. "Oh, I'm sorry James, it's just..." she began to remove her arms from around my neck. I placed my index finger over her soft lips. "Do you want me?" I asked as her hands fell at her sides. Her eyes pierced my soul. She seemed to be searching for an answer in my eyes but I could guarentee she wouldn't find it. I was at a loss of knowledge. "Yes." she whispered before pulling me to her body. I held her in my arms as her fragile chest heaved up and down, her breathing in sync with mine. "Why did you run away from me?" I asked. "I didn't want to get hurt again. I do want you but I was afraid that...after you knew my secret you wouldn't want me." She said, her breath becoming shallow. "Shhh...don't cry. I need you Raime, you have created a hole for yourself in my heart and if I didn't have you..." I trailed off, knowing she understood. "Thank you James. For everything." She whispered. The way she said my name sent sparks up my spine. Everything she did was perfect. I kissed her forehead as I gazed down at her tear stained face. From the first time I saw her to now, she has always been beautiful.
Raime's POV
James and I sat in eachother's arms for the remainder of the ride. You could call it cuddling but I left it unnamed. We talked about pointless things: the upcoming year, would we be effectionate with each other in front of other people, (James decided that he would subtly), we continued with schedules, and favorite candy (He enjoys bertie's every flavor beans). 5 minutes before the train came to the station, a prefect came to inform us that school was in sight. "Let me fix my hair." I murmered sleepily. I sat up and James released my waist. "You're hair looks perfect. Come on, you don't need to mess with it." James pleaded with me. His accent was thick with sleep. It made my heart melt. I tried to gain my composure. "Yeah right." I replied smiling. I pulled it up into a high messy bun and James smiled at me, rising from his seat. "Do you think Sawyer's alright?" I asked, concern filling my tone. I hadn't seen her after I left. Did she work things out with Thomas? I hope so. They are too perfect together. James noticed the edge in my voice and my tense shoulders when he replied. "I'm sure she's fine. She's very strong." I relaxed a little as the train slowed to a stop. "I'm gonna go find her. I'll find you in the commons later ok?" James' face fell when I mentioned leaving but he assured me multiple times that it was ok. I left with one more hug from James as I made my way down the crowded hallway to find my best friend. After a short walk down the hallway, I saw Thomas. Right behind him I saw Sawyer. My heart lept hoping that they had worked things out. Sawyer caught my eye and said something in Thomas' ear. He stepped aside as she brushed past him. "What happened?" I asked quickly. "Did you figure things out?" She smiled a genuin smile. "Yeah. He explained everything to me. It was mostly Molly. She just kinda...advanced on him. And she's a fifth year! It was just weird." she finished. I smiled and grabbed her hand. "Let's get off this train." I laughed pulling her along. I noticed she smiled and waved at Thomas and he encouraged her to come with me. We finally reached the lake and stepped into one of the boats with multiple other Gryfendoor girls. Sawyer and I exchanged boyfriend stories and by the time we got to the common rooms, we were laughing and smiling like nothing happened earlier. I noticed James walk into the common room and I left Sawyer with a group of 3rd years. "Hey, I missed you." James said embracing me. I giggled at his quirky remark. "Let's go upstairs to unpack." I suggested. He agreed as we walked upstairs hand in hand.
