Deidara's POV.

"Tobi hopes Yoku-chan is ok, Tobi just couldn't stand it if her cuteness just disappeared. Tobi will definitely adopt her to be his pet someday. Her cute little ears. Tobi hopes he sees those again. He always loved her cute little ears. And she's so nice. Yume-chan is also nice, once you get past her rudeness. Oh, Tobi hopes they'll survive. Tobi is so scared. Deidara-senpai will be so lonely without her, and Tobi will have to put up with his whining. But Tobi will be a good boy for his senpai. He will make tea for his senpai every morning, and never, ever mention Yoku-chan. What if they don't make it back? What if that two-tailed cat kills them? What if-"

"KATSU!"

The orange-masked boy gives a great scream as a clay bird explodes just in reach of his backside, and he runs away, out of the room and down the corridor, until his scream dies down.

I can't stand it anymore. I am already on my nerves, and now the annoying little prick can't shut up about it. I hope that they somehow found and made use of my clay. I made it specially so that it can be activated with fire. The rude one can light it up or something.

I would kill myself if my Yoku-chan didn't return to me. As simple as that.

Before I met her, explosions was all I knew. It was the most beautiful thing. It was art, and the best kind. But then she came along, and all that changed. She became my very own piece of art. Her adorable ears that appear whenever she's embarassed, and her brilliant green eyes is all that anyone could wish for.

If she dies, then all the beauty in the world will die with her. If she dies, then I will never, ever forgive Hidan and Kakuzu for not helping her. I don't care what the leader says. I'll kill both of them.

Yoku's POV.

As I become conscious again, a lot of pain comes along with it. Part of me wishes that I can just continue sleeping until everything has finished healing, but I want to know what is going on, whether Yume-chan is all right, and where the Nibi is.

Bright light causes a frown to crease my forehead, and when I open my eyes, I am looking directly into sunlight. We're outside, and it's pleasant weather. Those are both good signs.

"Finally awake, are we?" Hidan's voice says. I force myself to sit up and look in the direction of his voice. He is sitting on what seemed to be a black bag, and I realise that it must be Yugiko's body that's inside, and Kakuzu is standing a little way away. Yume-chan is sitting beside me, bruised and covered in cuts, but otherwise all right. There is a fire in the middle of the 'circle', and sausages are being cooked over it.

"Hey," she says. I smile. She hands me a few sausages, which I accept gratefully.

"Kakuzu, get your fucking ass over here and eat," Hidan says.

Kakuzu stays frozen for a few moments, but then he turns around and stands beside Hidan. He doesn't eat. Hidan rolls his eyes.

"We told her we'd only talk to you when you're awake," he tells me, "You two did good. You nearly defeated the bitch by yourself. That's really good, for a pair of girls your age, considering the time that you had to train beforehand. The Leader would've been proud to see it. As a matter of fact, he told us to give you these if you get out of there alive ..."

He gives Kakuzu a meaningful look. Kakuzu reaches inside his cloak, pulls out two parcels and throws one to each of us. I stare at mine, disbelieving.

"Holy shit, holy shit, holy shit! FINALLY!" Yume-chan yells, snapping the string binding her parcel. I open mine carefully.

Akatsuki hats and cloaks for ourselves.
