Chapter 2- Dream On

Chapter 2- Dream On,

Ari's POV,

Once my alarm clock went off once again, I quickly pushed myself off the bed, I went to the bathroom, taking a shower.

I stepped into the bathroom, and instantly took my IPhone out. I put my music on shuffle and hopped into the shower. I hummed to some of the songs that were played, until one came that really caught my interest,

'Everytime, I look in the mirror. All these lines on my face, getting clearer'

I hummed to the tune until the pre corus came, then I was totally singing badly, to the famous Aerosmith tune.

"Sing with me! Sing for the year, sing for the laughter, sing for the tears!" I was off key, but I didn't care. I got out of the shower with the song still blasting. I walked into my room. And lightly sang the corus.

"Dream on, Dream on, Dream On, Dream until your dreams come true," the light singing echoed through the room, the song ended with the instrumental, and I instantly smiled.

"You're a better singer than me! No fair!" Niall said, and I jumped as I looked at him, "No! I suck!" "When you were in the shower it was clearly decided you can sing." He said while crossing his arms over his chest. "No I am not." I replied while laughing, he smiled as he set his guitar on the ground.

I grabbed mine out of the corner. And sat on my bed. "Practiced?" He asked while focusing on his own guitar. "You were over all day! How could I have practiced?" I asked while trying to play 'Hey Soul Sister' again.

My attempts were terrible. "Good point." He laughed as he shrugged it off, watching my fingers. "Wrong cord, you would use a B flat for that, not an A flat." He corrected me and I instantly felt stupid.

"It's okay, did you honestly think I played perfectly the second time I tried?" He asked, I shrugged it off as I tried again. We sat there, me trying over and over again. I'm surprised he's this patient. I smiled as I finally strummed the last cords, finishing the song, and I had played it perfectly.

"The saying 'practice makes perfect' is true isn't it?" I laughed as I set down the guitar. He didn't answer as he smiled and looked down at his fingers on his own guitar.

The familiar tune he started playing, and I took no time to start singing the first verse of the song he walked in on me singing, Dream On, by Aerosmith. It's an american band, and they're quite good if you ask me.

The second verse came around and Niall joined in on singing with me,

"Half my life, is in books, written pages. Live and learn, from fools and sages. You know it's true all the things come back to you."

He took his guitar solo and I laughed at his face! He looked like the guy from the old band 'Kiss' he had his tounge stuck out as he strummed wildly fast. "Okay, too much." I giggled. "I was too into it, huh?"

I nodded which made him chuckle. "Alright, I guess that's enough for today. I should go home and eat, I'm starving!" He dramatically rubbed his stomach. "Fine, see ya later Niall."

"Bye Ariana." He said, giving me one if his Horan hugs. I smiled into the hug, inhaling his fresh scent. We pulled apart and he grabbed his stuff and left.

"Ariana!" Yelled Hailey. I rolled my eyes at my annoying sister, "What?" I answered.

"Mum said you have to drive me to the mall." She smirked. I groaned, "why can't she or Jayden drive you?"

"Because they went to get groceries, now lets go!" She pulled my arm, dragging me out of the house. "Okay, okay."

We were at the mall for almost an hour. She bought loads of clothes, which I think is dumb because she has more clothes than me and Jayden combined. Lets just say, the youngest is always spoiled. "Can we go now?" I sighed.

She shook her head, "one more store." She said before skipping into 'Hollister'. I walked over to the food court and got some ice cream for the wait, I know she's going to be in there for awhile.

I took a seat on an empty chair and enjoyed my treat. After a couple of minutes, I heard a familiar laugh, causing me to turn around and see Niall?

He was with Holly. Holly goes to our school and I think she liked Niall too. I wonder what they're doing here. I see them walking my way and I quickly duck my head, so they don't see me. "Really? That's cool." I heard him say as they passed me. I saw her nod and then they left.

What was Niall and Holly doing here? I felt a twinge of jealousy inside of me. I really don't like being the jealous type, but I can't help it. Niall is my fucking man.

I waited for Hailey, and when she finally came out I pulled her out of the store. "You know Niall right?" I asked, and I felt stupid asking. "Your boyfriend?" She said sarcastically, "Oh ya sure, anyways. If you want some extra money, I want you to go spy on them." I said to her, while pointing a finger at Niall and Holly, currently sitting at a table eating ice cream.

"Mission accepted." She said while handing her bags to me. I smiled as I started walking towards the car to relief my arms. I put them in and headed back to Hailey. She was hidden in the bushes only a table away from theirs. I could tell she was listening intently, so I let her stay there. I locked eyes with her.

I made a call sign, and she nodded, as I walked a little ways away. Sure enough, the slight ring was heard. I picked up the phone, holding it to my ear.

"Ya, um. I was wondering if you possibly want to go out sometime?" I heard Niall's familiar voice fill the phone. Did you hear that? That was my heart. Shattering into a million peices. I still listened, trying to keep the tears inside of me.

"Sure! How about tomorrow? Want to go to a movie?" Holly's innocent voice flooded my ears. We used to be friends. Until we found out we both liked Niall. "Ya, I'll pick you up around eight?" He asked. She must have nodded her head because all I heard was silence. Chairs squeaked, and then they were headed my way.

I tried to hide my face as I tried making my way back to Hailey. But I stopped dead in my tracks "Ariana?" I wanted to keep moving, but someone grabbed hold of my wrist and I was forced to face him. "Aria- what happened?" He asked as he looked concerned, pulling me in a hug. "It's nothing." I said while taking in his warmth. It won't last long.

"Well if it is something and you want to tell me, call me." He said while turning and walking back to his car. I watched him as he exited the parking space and drove off. "I'm sorry." Someone said from behind me. I turned around to see Hailey.

"No. It's fine." I said while trying to smile. We walked back to the car, I took my seat and started it.

Like Aerosmith says. Dream on.
