Chapter 4- Alone,

Ari's POV,

I woke up, with my eyes a bit swollen from crying so much yesterday. I looked at my alarm clock, it read 5:45am. Wow. I would think that I would've slept in, like always especially because of what happened yesterday. I didn't feel tired, so I got up, doing my normal routine. I needed music to drown out my sorrows.

Again, I put it on shuffle, taking a small shower instead of the usually long ones. I stepped out of the shower, and was greeted by a fog in the bathroom. I changed and headed to my room. My phone still blasting the music. And yet another song perfectly described my feelings.

The starting to Sleeping With the Sirens 'Alone' started playing and I tried holding back the tears, intently listening to the lyrics. Each word described exactly how I felt. It pained for me to think this way. That every living being should be alone in the world.

The door bell rang, and Jayden's almost too cheery voice chirped "I'll get it!" Before she opened the door. "She's in her room." She said and I heard the devil himself, climb the stairs to my room.

"Hey Ari!" He exclaimed, setting his guitar down on the ground. I smiled before grabbing my own, strumming light chords. I sat down, placing the delicacy in my lap. "New song, or the one we've been working on?" He asked, while strumming chords, he seemed a little stand offish, about yesterday it's got to be.

"New?" I almost asked back. He nodded while thinking of another song. "E.T, by Katy Perry?" I asked while smiling. He smiled back as he strummed some of the chords starting the song. "You're so hypmitizing, could you be the devil, could you be an angel?" I started while watching his fingers intently.

He doesn't know it, but it's as though I'm singing this to him. He joined in as we started to sing the chorus, "Kiss me, K-K-Kiss me, infect me with love, and fill me with your poison," We both sang, while smiling. It's great to hear Niall's sweet singing again. He sang the next verse and I smiled into the next chorus.

We finished it and I was smiling like a giddy idiot. I started to copy his hand movements, starting the song as he had. It was hard to sing and play, so he sang it. I was surprised I was playing it correctly, for my first time anyways.

"Well I think we both know that you can play that song." He said in the end. I laughed as he put his guitar away. "I have to go."

"Can we hang out later, you know, have some bff time?" I smiled. He frowned and shook his head, "can't. I have a- ... Thing today. Sorry." At first I was surprised but then I remembered his stupid date with Holly.

"Right, you have a date with her." I hadn't noticed I said that aloud, when he gave me a look. "You know?" He asked, setting his case back on the floor. Shit. I looked at him and sighed, "Ya, Hailey kinda over heard you and Holly talking yesterday, and she told me everything..." I trailed.

"Oh. Well, I'm sorry I can't hang with you today, maybe tomorrow?" I nodded, "okay. Bye." I said, practically pushing him out of my room. "Bye."

The rest of the day, I spent it watching the telly and eating chips, what can I say, I eat when I'm depressed. "You're gonna get fat if you keep sitting there." I looked up and saw Hailey crossing her arms. "I don't care, leave me alone." I mumbled.

"How about instead of crying over him, we go somewhere fun?" She suggested. "Hail, if you don't remember, the last time I went somewhere with you, my heart got totally broken. I think I'd rather stay here. Alone."

"Oh come one Ariana. We'll have fun, and it'll take your mind off of-" I cut her off before she could say his name, "Alright! Lets go." I gave up. She squealed and pulled me up. "Wait, your not going in that."
