"So who is this boy?" My dad asked.
"Louis Tomlinson." I stated, lacing up my knee-high converse.
"Louis? Sounds nice." He compromised.
"Not really." I sighed.
Because tattoos and cigarettes scream nice.
"You don't sound too excited about this date." he set my burger in front of me.
I took a big bite before responding, "I'm not really. Dating is the last thing on my mind right now dad." I sighed.
"Well you've got to do it eventually Em. You haven't even thought about boys since-"
"Don't!" I yelled.
If dad said his name I'd never forgive him.
He sighed.
"Not that I don't mind that but bud, you're a beautiful girl. Besides, isn't it my job to not want the date to happen?" He chuckled.
"Dad. We both know we're not the normal father and daughter."
"Course not bud. Now hurry and finish eating. I'll be preparing my interview for this boy." I smiled.
That's my dad.

I froze as the doorbell rang.
"Should I get it or you?" I asked dad.
"Allow me." Dad smiled, climbing off his recliner.
"Hello Louis. Come on in." Dad opened the door.
As soon as Louis laid eyes on me, he smiled.
"Wow Emily, you look-" "Happy." My dad cut him off. "And that's exactly how she should look when she comes back."
I laughed as Louis's face looked panicked.
"Yes sir." He nodded.
"So Louis, where are you going to take my daughter out tonight?"
"The fair then a small café out of town." He nodded.
I guiltily looked at my almost done burger on the coffee table.
Then again you never know what will come up at the fair...
"Back by eleven."
"Yes sir." He nodded.
"Dad are you done?" I laughed.
"Fine. Eleven. Not a minute past. Now I'll be cleaning my gun in the kitchen, waiting up."
I laughed at his hidden message of threatening Louis.
Louis's eyes went wide.
"Okay dad." I gave him a hug.
"Be safe bud." he hugged me and let me go.
Once we got outside Louis let out a breath of relief.
"I was sure he was going to kill me." He smiled.
"Course." I hugged his side.
"You look phenomenal Emily." He complimented, opening my door.
Who knew a simple pair of shoes, jeans, and a Five Seconds of Summer T-shirt would make me look phenomenal? In my opinion I looked pretty cute in a few dresses, like the one from earlier.
"Don't look too bad yourself." I slid in.
He closed the door.
I did a quick five second make up/ hair check.
