Bad Dream (Marichat)

Mari's POV:

"Your super powers are now mine Ladybug!" Hawk Moth declared.

I tried to scream in agony but no sound came out of my mouth. The chair that I was straddled onto hooked me up tight and I couldn't budge.

"Aww where's your lil' kitty to save you now? Hahahaha! That moronic fool fell right into my trap under the Eiffel Tower packed with tnt; only to try and save you.."

Oh gosh.. Chat!? Oh no no no no no..

A dark and hideous laugh came from the slender man as he pulled out a remote with a red button.

"Wha-What are you going to do?" I half growled at his evil smirk.

"Well.. let's find out on the screen.."

I faced infront of his giant flat screen tv. Once he turned it on I saw Chat under the Eiffel Tower unaware of the tnt surrounding him.

As I watched my world around me ready to collapse I felt the tears streaming down my face.

"Chat!!!"

Hawk Moth pressed onto the red button and in seconds, I saw the whole Eiffel Tower crumbling and subsiding along with my partner, best friend, and lover die with it.

My screams echoed throughout my head and all I cared about was Chat in that moment. Nothing mattered anymore in that grief moment.

My eyes opened in a flash when the dream ended. I felt my chest rising and my face sweaty as my panting increased. "Thank goodness that was all just a dream.. hey why is it so cool in here..? The window!" I remembered closing and locking my window last night due to the winter season and I also remembered closing my curtains. My suspicion suspected that I didn't close and lock the window at all but that wasn't the case when I saw a familiar pair of bright green eyes staring back at me from outside.

"Chat?" I hid my body behind the blankets and covers. Still no reply, and I started to feel paranoid. The silence grew louder and louder as the seconds went by. One blink of an eye and the pair of bright green eyes vanished from the window.

I anxiously looked around my room for any signs of the eyes, but no luck.

"Meow."

"AAAaahhh!!" Instinctively, I grabbed my pillow and bashed it on whoever or whatever that meowed.

Strong firm hands grabbed onto my pillow to stop me."Mari! Chill it's just me, Chat." I fluttered my eyes open to see the blonde boy in his usual black kitty suit. "Oh.. hehe. H-Hi Chat." He cuddled closer. "Hey." I felt the blood rushing to my face as he licked the tip of my nose. "A boy's on my bed.. A BOY'S ON MY BED!!!" Chat slapped his hand on my mouth. "What're you screaming for? Are you trying to get me in trouble!?" The cat hissed.

"Marinette.. what's going on in there..?" I heard my mom's grumpy morning voice down the hall. "N-Nothing! I just saw a spider that's all..!"

The cat next to me laughed at my excuse. "A spider? Hahahaha! That' s your best excuse to come up with?" I crossed my arms smugly and narrowed my eyes. "Hmph. Well at least I'm not a scaredy cat of water and the dark.." Chat snarled irritably at my retort.

"So Chat.. Why are you here?" My icy ocean blue eyes met his unique green ones as I stared deeply into his iris. "Oh well ya know.. A cat on his daily morning stroll and I just so happened to hear a scream; you're scream that is and I thought someone was in trouble."

"Now my question is, why are you the one that's so up early?" He leaned closer to my face and I felt his warm breath blowing on my skin. "Hehe.. I had a bad dream." I felt my cheeks beginning to warm up again. "Hmm tell me Mari," Chat purred.

"Well, I dreamed about my best friend being killed in a trap. He was only trying to save me from something.. evil." For the past 15 minutes I rambled on and on about it until my eyes began to feel heavy and weary.

"Mari it was nice seeing you again. You should get some sleep." Chat stood up from my bed and was already walking to my window. "B-But Chat! What if I have another bad dream again?" The cat looked back at me with those beautiful jade eyes. "I guess I could stay with you until you fall asleep.." A smirk grew on his face and I could feel my face burning.

"Really!? Oh thank you thank you thank you.." I grabbed onto his neck and pulled him toward me on the bed. Now he's the one that's blushing. "I'll be going to sleep now.. Good ni- I mean, Good morning Chat." A stupid smile was plastered on my face as I went under the covers and closed my eyes.

I fell into a deep sleep in moments, knowing that Chat will be on my side to protect me from harm's way.
