"You would not believe your eyes
If ten million fireflies
Lit up the world as I fell asleep"
-Owl City

Sticks crackled beneath them as they rushed through the thick woods. Hoots from owls and howls from wolves filled in the deafening silence of the area; and a string of light from the cresent moon seeped throught the canopy of tall trees.

"Iwa-Chan! Where are you taking me this time?"

"You'll see, just keep up!"

Iwaizumi swiftly leapt over huge logs and boulders, without faultering his already fast-paced speed - It was as if he was the leader of a wolf pack, hunting down a poor deer. On the other hand, Oikawa was slightly slower than him, taking his time to climb over the obstacles so he won't hurt himself - like a tortoise trying to reach its food without falling into the water.

"Please tell me! It wouldn't hurt to know, right? Unless... You have this secret plan to- oomph!"

Oikawa clumsily bumped into Iwaizumi, who was in front of him, and unfortunately, they both fell to the woodland floor. He sat up, dusting the leaves and dirt off his trousers. Luckily, he landed on something other than the hard earth. Where was Iwa-Chan anyway?

"Get off me you idiot!" Iwaizumi shouted angrily.

It came to his realization that he was crushing Iwa-Chan. Fearing for his life, he scrambled to his feet and apologized.

"S-sorry I-I-Iwa-Chan! I-I j-just have a clumsy coordination!"

"Whatever, we'll walk instead so you won't accidentally crush me again. Besides, our destination is not far." Iwaizumi brushed off his apology and held out his hand to Oikawa.

The insomniac stared at the open hand, then back at his friend. He was nervous to take it, and quite frankly shocked - other than his 'friendly' punches on his arm (it really hurts), this is the most affectionate thing Iwaizumi has done.

Iwaizumi glared at Oikawa impatiently, tapping his foot to say he was waiting.

"The night doesn't last forever you know."

"Okay, okay!" Oikawa cautiously took his hand. "Let's go!"

The duo walked side by side each other, swinging their linked hands like a couple on a beach. A comfortable silence surrounded them as neither of them wanted to speak. Or at least neither had nothing to say, for the matter.

And that's because Oikawa can't stop thinking about Iwaizumi's hand. They're suprisingly soft and smooth for a boy who literally lives in the forest. But they are also stubby and strong. It's like you can tell a person's personality through the touch of one's hand.

I like this,  I like this very much. I wish we can do this all the time, Iwa-Chan.

Suddenly, and to Oikawa's disappointment, Iwaizumi slipped out of his grasp and instead covered his eyes.

"Iwa-Chan? What are you-"

"Shh... it'll ruin the surprise if your eyes are open." He adjusted himself so Oikawa was comfortable and nudged him slightly for him to keep moving.

Despite having the inability to see for the moment, Oikawa could feel that he was in an area of tall grass. He could hear the chirping of the crickets and the crunching of the grass and... leaves? Below them.

Iwaizumi's hands left his face as he whispered, "Okay, now... stop. But still keep you eyes close."

"Now sit down."
