Ok, so I recently overcame my writers block, and no one has written any chapters yet, so imma keep writing. If you still want to enter, you can, remember, comment on the last chapter with the link to your chapter. Also, I was recently looking at my chapter, I realized I had a typo, so I'm going to continue from the last chapter, fix the typo, then keep writing. It also accrued to me that I haven't thought of last names for the characters, and if I did, well I'm too lazy to look at the other chapters. So they are now Mackenzie Rodgers, Rider James, and John Pike.
So I hope you like it!
After a couple weeks, I did talk to John. I broke it off, but he harassed me for a while. I got a restraining order against him and Rider really helped with that. When I got to school, everyone gave me weird looks. As I was walking to my locker, Janie *cough*tramp*cough*, it's a shame, she was such a nice girl, came up to me in what I swear was a bra and underwear, and said "John wants to see you." Real snooty like, then walked away.
Rider's arm slid around my waist protectively when Janie said John's name.
"Kenzie, you don't have to do this if you don't want to." Rider says.
"I know, but now I kind of want to see what it's all about. Come with me, we'll be safe if you're there." I hugged his arm and smiled up at him.
"That's right baby girl." Ahh his new name for me. When we went out for dinner (NOT A DATE, we were just getting to know each other a little more), I told him I had always wanted a daughter. So ever since then, he's called me baby girl.
"Alright, let's go." He grabbed my hand, leading me to where John's locker was. He was standing there in all black, black jeans, black tee-shirt, and a black hoodie and (believe it or not) guy-liner. He looked like a raccoon.
"You..." I took a breath in, "wanted to see me?" I asked, shaking a little. I looked up at Rider for re-assurance. He smiled down at me and squeezed his hand, which was gripping my hip.
"Yeah, but without him." His voice was husky, like he had been smoking something.
"I'm not leaving her. Not with the restraining order she has." Rider said, pulling me closer, if that's even possible.
"Go away." John growled.
"No." Rider stepped in front of me, blocking me from seeing what was about to happen next. In a flash, Rider snapped, his arm flying towards John's face. The next thing I knew, a fight broke out. Students crowded around me, and the guys who are rumbling on the ground. Teachers poked their heads out of classrooms, and they rushed over trying to break up the boys. Finally, Mr. Peters and Mr. Michelson had one boy each, the boys struggling to get away.
"Everyone get to class!" Mr. Michelson yelled over the conversations of the other students, and the boys yelling at each other. "Except for you, Mackenzie Rodgers!"
I looked at the boys, still struggling, Rider's lip busted and bleeding down his chin, and John a black eye already forming. I walked to Rider, and when he saw me, his face immediately softened. But at the same moment, Mr. Peters lost his grip on John, and his arm swung and hit me in the face, right under my left eye. Immediately, I fell unconscious.
At first, all I had was my hearing.
"I think she's waking up!" one yelled, I internally winced at how loud it was.
"Kenzie!" someone yelled. I recognized that lovely voice. Rider.
"Rider..." I managed to mumble. I opened my eyes, the light way too bright. Someone must have noticed, because the hallway light was turned off.
"What happened?" My voice was husky sounding. My vision refocused, Rider kneeling on my left, Miss Jackie, the school nurse, was on my right.
"Hun, are you okay?" Miss Jackie asked.
