The sun is shining very brightly, birds are chirping, and it is midway Winter. The air is slightly chilly as Spring is approaching. In the middle of a field filled with twigs and fallen dead leaves, there is a loud snoring. The sound is from a man called Alex Carter.
A white butterfly lays on his shoulder as he is sleeping. He arouses from his sweet slumber as the rays of sunlight hits him. The butterfly flies away. He opens his eyes and lays there for a while before abruptly sitting up. "I must have drank too much last night. No, wait. I didn't drink at all." He thinks.
"Where is my phone?" He says aloud as he searches his phone in his blazer/coat. "I got robbed of it all. My wife is going to kill me." He says with a sigh.
"Darn it. I am in trouble." He says with a groan as he stands up. "We have a sale event at the store. I can't be late for work." He flicks off the leaves and hay on his suit.
"But then...where the heck am I?" He questions himself. In front of him there is a railway. There is a huge, old tree beside him. "Wow." He says with amusement.
There is a faintest sound of bells chiming . He looks to his left and sees a man, around his 50s carrying a red flag, walking. He is wearing a formal uniform.
Alex Carter runs towards him and asks, "Excuse me sir, where on Earth are we?" The man points beside him and leaves.
"Strange." He thinks but when he looks to where the man had pointed, he is left speechless.
There is a sign that heaven and hell. Left railway leads to heaven and the right railway leads to hell. He also notices a sign at the big tree. The left says present life and the right says afterlife. That was when realisation dawned on him.
"This is the afterlife which means that I have...died. I am apparently dead." He says in a whisper.
He suddenly remembers falling down from a building and closes his eyes shut before he hits the ground.
