The two walked down into town in complete and utter silence, Yami seemingly agitated because of Yugi's lack of movie knowledge.
Yami looked straight ahead the whole time, not even understanding himself why exactly he was going through all the trouble of taking Yugi to the movies?
Of all people, what made him so naive to even consider bringing him here?
It was pity. That's what it was.
This dude had never seen a good movie in his life, let alone any ones at all. Yami was not going to spend the next several months with a nerd who knew nothing outside of the world of books and studies.
The least he could do was take him out to a measly movie that Yami didn't even care to see.
Or one that Yami had already seen.
Yugi also walked in silence, his gaze traveling anywhere but in the direction of Yami. He didn't want to be out here.
He didn't want to be out with this party animal. For all Yugi knew, Yami was going to drag him to a bar or something.
But then again, why would he waste his time in doing so?
The two boys continued to walk in complete silence, neither one looking at the other, as though they were a zit on the other's face that was to be ignored for the next few days.
It didn't take long, however, for the young men to get to the movie theatres and they looked through the list of movies they could choose from.
"Okay, I have no idea what half of these are about, nor can I say that I have any interest to see these." Yugi had the sudden urge to turn and walk back to the dorms at the school.
Yami grabbed his wrist roughly and shook his head.
"Oh no, Yugi." Yami glared at him slightly, "You're going to watch something. I didn't drag you out here for absolutely no reason, just to watch you walk away again, going back to those dorms that you nearly never leave."
Yugi growled slightly and looked at him.
"I never asked for you of all people to take me out to a place that I don't even want to go to right now, thank you." Yugi put his hands on his hips.
"Well, too bad because I know the way back and you don't even know what half of these movies are about let alone any of them." Yami crossed his arms, "That's pretty pathetic, if you ask me."
"Oh, then you know what else is pathetic?" Yugi glared further, "Someone who has to leave his phone on just so he can hear all his Instagram notifications ding on just to get a 'good night's sleep'. I have never seen anyone so full of himself."
"And I have never seen anyone so sheltered before now." Yami rolled his eyes and glared down at Yugi as well, "You've never even seen a movie when you were younger. What kind of childhood did you have, Yugi?! APPARENTLY, you didn't have much of a childhood at all, dod you?!"
Yugi put his hands on his hips again, not knowing what else to say. Yami hit the nail hard.
But Yugi still wasn't finished.
"Well, at least I'm able to get a good night's sleep unlike SOMEONE who spends all of HIS time out with girls and friends and doing WHO KNOWS WHAT!" Yugi leaned into Yami's face, poking his chest hard.
"In CASE you hadn't KNOWN, THAT is called LIVING and if you can't accept that, your Senior year stuck with me won't be a very nice one." Yami leaned further into his face, "And I SHOULD be out with my friends again, BUT I'M STUCK WITH YOU. So, before I ACTUALLY drag you with me to where I actually WANT to be, you should CHOOSE A MOVIE."
Yami's eyes narrowed as he glared into Yugi's ticked off Amethyst orbs. Yugi silently flared up at him before pointing to a movie reluctantly.
He didn't find it worth fighting over with Yami. Yami would have made so much of a fuss, the two of them would have eventually been stopped and asked what's wrong by either officials or employees.
And That was the last thing Yugi wanted. For a brat like Yami to get him in trouble, whether it be on purpose or not.
"This one." He growled, "I don't even care anymore. Just this one."
Yami rolled his Eyes and turned, taking out his wallet and buying two tickets for the both of them.
"Here." Yami gave Yugi one of the two before they entered the building, "You owe me."
Yugi glared slightly once again and followed Yami inside as the two Neared the concession stand in the front, the employees standing behind the counter, rushing slightly to refill candy jars, popcorn jugs, drink supplies, utensils, and anything a concession stand may have needed.
"Good evening, boys." The young woman in the front of them said, smiling happily at them, "What may we provide for your viewing experience today?"
Yami leaned his elbow on the table, catching her eye and she blushed quickly, shaking her head.
"Yami, you were just in here two days ago. Are you coming back again?" The girl questioned him. "But, why?"
"Because you work here." Yami smirked, rubbing her hand gently.
The girl shuddered, grinning nonetheless.
"O-Okay~..." She grinned.
Yugi rolled his eyes.
"Ugh... Lady, we're here to see a movie." Yugi said abruptly, suddenly stopping the two's laughter, "Now, I'm hungry. I want a snack."
Yami rolled his eyes and looked at Yugi, "You have a limit on how much money you can spend tonight."
Yugi's jaw dropped.
"Are you kidding me?" He demanded.
"Cool it before we're thrown out." Yami said without looking at either of them, almost as though their minds were connected through an invisible link.
Yugi crossed his arms and leaned against the wall while Yami also stood as well and waited for food with them.
This was going to be a very long showing of a movie.
