Breaking through his walls

Chapter 3

The cafeteria line was too long today and it took me a good 15 minutes to reach the end but my mind was swaying around jace again and again and our encounter tomorrow which left me in despair

"What do you want dear?" The lunch lady said but I was too caught up in my thoughts that I forgot to answer

"Again what do you want" the lunch lady speaks a little louder

"Oh huh what?, ohh I'll take one melon
bread, probably some chocolate chip cookies and how about a slice of pizza wait make it two that's all, oooooh no wait a packet of Doritos too"

"Pffffft that's a lot of food" I hear a guy say and I'm happy this will surely make him grossed out of me 

I turn to see the face of the owner of these words unfortunately who was Jace and my happy smile despaired when redness took over it

lol what are you thinking stupid belle he obviously doesn't make a difference but why do I suddenly feel my self going red

"here's your food dear" the lunch lady says giving me my food tray "Oh thank you" I say handing her the money and am about to leave when a beefy hand grabs around my slender wrist

"Oyee you didn't pay for that food" says the other lunch lady who just took the other sweet ones place
"Eh no but I just did it right...."

"No buts young lady, pay me the money or I'll tell the teachers" she said with pure furry in her brown eyes. By now the hall was full of gasps and oooohs

"But I just did, right Chika say something... " I motion to Chika standing besides me chewing on her bubble gum and looking into space
"Huh me oh no belle you shouldn't do this, just pay her and get out of here"

"Wha-"

"She did pay ask that lunch lady over there" Jace says on my behalf 

The lunch lady looks away and asks the other one and she obviously says yes
"Huh okay you can go now" says the lunch lady making a bored face

" no we're not done here" Jace speaks again " apologize to her old women"

"Eh no it's okay thank you lander"

But Jace pierces his eyes through the women if looks could kill she would be
dead by now

"S-ss-orry"

"That's okay" I mumble under my breath and get out of the cafeteria Jace before me and Chika somewhere gossiping in the cafeteria

I run up to him and say my thanks
"Thanks there lander for the misunderstanding"

"Huh whatever it was her fault anyway"

"Yea first I was very mad but then you got angered on my behalf, I became contented how things turned out"

"Being satisfied with reasons like that your too easy going" he sighs

"What? What did you just say" I pouted he called me easy going

"Don't blame me" he pulls his hands up in surrender "That just explains the shaky relationship you have with your so called friends, how foolish"

Huh what is he talking about fake friends...

"It may seem foolish to you but they are extremely important people to me"

"Whatever it's not like I care I mean it has nothing to do with me" Jace huffs, why is he suddenly acting like a cold hearted jerk

He says these rude words and distance himself from me

he starts turning around but then he tilts his head as if to say something and I almost assume he's gonna be sorry but the words out of his mouth just eat me more
