ROBIN
"Why did you call me in, Captain?" I ask, walking down the hallway of the SA (Superhero Agency). I only ever get called in if the Teen Titans did something wrong, or something with Batman. But as far as I know, there should be no reason to be here.
"How are the Teen Titans?" the Captain asks, walking towards a window that looks out onto the big city.
"They're doing well," I say. "Crime has slowed in Jump City, and Starfire is fitting in well despite being from another planet. Cyborg has upgraded his programs for better fight statistics. And Beast Boy is Beast Boy.
"Good," he says, running his hands through his gray hair. His voice becomes serious. "Slade has made another attack, Robin."
My attention turns to Captain, fully.
Slade. My worst enemy, the one who I loathe about every single day. The one who drives me to wake every morning with the strongest vengeance. The one who I would kill in seconds and would say my life is complete.
But Slade is supposed to be locked away. He was supposed to be gone! I haven't heard of his actions for months! He was supposed to be in a high tech prison!
"How?" I ask.
"He escaped the prison," Captain says shamefully. "We suspect a supernatural force aiding his escape, since the prison is the strongest in the world. We plan to fix the prison immediately and upgrade the entire process."
"Where did he attack?"
"He attacked a temple of monks," he says, his eyes trained on the window.
That piece of shit! Attacking a group of helpless monks? Why?
"Why would he do that?" I demand.
"Full of questions, Robin? We do not know why he would attack," Captain admits. "But we know you would do anything to ensure we capture Slade, yes?"
"Yes, of course,"
"A girl with magical powers was rescued," Captain says walking over to his desk. He pulls up a file from the desk, using computer technology to solidify the molecules to becoming a paper file. We know little to nothing about her, or about her powers. She has been quite uncooperative at the moment. But, we wish her to be integrated into the Teen Titans. She will benefit from being a superhero and your team will benefit from her powers."
A new girl? In the Titans? The time of integration into the team would take ages, and she would have to train hard! We don't have that much time to train rookies!
"But,"
"No, no questions," Captain stops me. "As leader, I wish for you to integrate her in. She will come in about a week. I will send men to prepare her arrival, but until then, I want you to ease everyone into her arrival."
I nod. He slides over the file to me.
"Robin," he says, finally looking at me with his grey eyes. "I know you can do this. You can handle a girl. You are a strong leader, please try your best."
"Thank you, Captain," I say.
"Good," Captain says. "You may return to Jump City."
A new girl. A new fighter. A stronger team.

"A new girl is coming?" Cyborg gasps as he spreads another line of mayo onto his sandwich.
"Is she hot?" Beast Boy asks immediately behind the controller of his video game. My response is a sarcastic and unappreciative eye roll.
"She's a girl with magical powers, a good asset to the team," I try to explain.
"Oh yes!" Starfire exclaims. "We could do the girl things like the sleeping over and the painting of toes!"
"Yea, Starfire," I say with a shrug. Starfire and I kind of have a thing, a romantic thing, but neither of us uphold feelings over the team. Right now, things are just awkward. "But I want you guys to accept her. Her files say that she is a bit quiet and shy. Make her feel like a family, that is an order."
They all gesture in agreement.
The communicator begins to beep wildly. I quickly flick the communicator up to see Overload, an electrical monster, on the screen.
"Titans, Go!" I command, and we all rush out of the tower.
