Jim Donovan was the first too pop out of the suv which was sliding too a halt in the very front of the Singer building his long duster failing away behind him making for the far corner of the front doorway entrance itself. Sam Tyler rolled out second from the back passenger side following close behind her boss and friend. She kept her eyes peeled watching every nook and dark spot along the front of the building for any kind of movement. Sam didn't want one of Will Riker's or Nariseer team too just come popping out of the wood work unloading shots at any of her team. Sam was still working through her check list for the safety of her team in her brain. Blackthorne and the Army were the same in some respects but Blackthorne had its rather fair share of interesting spacey type perks. The family feeling was going too take a little getting used too but Sam was quite willing too accept it with open arms. There was a comradery in any squad but they still tended too lean towards the good old boys mentality. Sam sometimes felt herself being an outsider in some of the squads she had commanded during the early most pary of her military career. She found herself now quite willing too care for every single member that she had met thus far with Blackthorne. Jake Blackthorne himself turned out at least from their first meeting too be a very personable director who cared deeply for those around him in this littlegathering. Both front doors of the suv flew open discharging Melody Picard and Luther Tonaka who quickly followed close behind Sam but were back a bit so that they could keep the opposite side of the road covered that Jim nor Sam could see. Donovan carefully spied around the corner looking towards one side of the Singer buildings entrance way that faced his position. "Evie," Jim called out over the open com link too Evie back at Blackthorne central. "What were you able too pull off the C.C.T. cameras in the last twenty minutes?" Evie's response was instantaneously. "Somehow our nefarious Mister Singer and his lot have been able too shut off the C.C.T. cameras at will." "Most likely when ever they needed a little private time too move or receive something that they didn't want anyone nosey enough too look there." Sam Tyler rapped in lightly still several paces behind Donovan throwing in her thoughts too the conversation. Jim glanced back at Sam Tyler nodding quickly. "I was thinking along the same line as well." "That may all be true," Evie continued on. "But Singer must also have control over the city owned C.C.T. cameras on the surrounding streets around his building. He doesn't in fact have any control what so ever over several strategically placed security camera's in several different buildings around his own though." Evie added in as she quickly gathered video from those cameras Jake Blackthorne had set up in places around most of the Singer building. Sam and Jim both could see in there minds eye as Evie back in the bunker standing in front of a computer bank her hands speeding across the keyboard sending information back their way at the speed of light. "Incoming," Evie called out giving a heads up too every member of the team there standing in the doorway of Singer Tower. They all saw the lobby was empty of any employees that should have at least had one or two security personnel seated there at a central desk watching the frontdoor. The scene in their collective head's changed showing the front of the building without them standing there at the present time. Everything appeared as if it was running in fast forward which in fact it was. The camera's view showed the Singer building directly across from the camera with one single service door in the picture. "From what information I can access the door you are looking at appears too be a service entrance too the shipping and receiving area of the building" Evie narrated the view as it ran out before them in each of their heads. As the whole team continued too watch two figures walked into view appearing from the shadows coming into clear view when the pair walked into the light from a street lamp across the street. Jim Donovan had no problem discerning the identity of the two figures from the view in his head. Will Riker was the first figure too walk into the light a large automatic weapon held tight against his hip. The other figure walking carefully behind Riker was clearly a female form. Jim Donovan had too wonder following the dots too figure out that this figure was most likely the one Alexic their new Pirdrani friend has been following across country since their first meeting at that Rift opening. Jim could see the same wheels turning in Sam Tyler's eyes as well. "Evie, fast forward a bit further Please." Donovan stated having a better than damn sure idea what they were about too see. The view in everyone's head sped up a little faster several seconds which in fact were minutes passing. Sure as Jim had thought another shadowy figure furtively moved towards the same door Riker and the female had entered just seconds before. The blurred figure was actually cloaked which Jim Donovan had ran into several times before hand through his time and oh so many interesting missions with Blackthorne. He knew from serious experience that the Ortelian's used that ability when stealth was needed for hunting or more so too the use of when they were in any type of pitched battle. Jim had heard stories from Ortelian's he had personally interview who survived their encounters with Pirdrani invasion forces. "We need too get in there." Jim Donovan pointed too Luther. "You and Sam come in through the service door that everyone else has been through." Sam looked hard too Jim. "You're planning on going through the front door?" Sam stated shaking her head at the rather semi bad idea. "What if you run into opposition?" Jim Donovan smiled a big toothy grin back at Sam. "Don't muck about and cover my arse as quick as possible." Jim winked at Sam then quickly threw a salute too Luther Tonaka who nodded his head back too Jim. Luther gently clutched Sam left forearm as they both aimed towards the service entrance. "It's best when he goes into full John Wayne mode too just let him be." Luther explained too Sam as they took positions on each side of the service door. "What is the E.T.A for the rest of the team?" Sam Tyler threw in too Evie already performing a weapon's check several seconds before anyone else in the team. "They are still at least eight minutes out. The traffic from the fallout at the convention center is still slowing them up." Evie replied her fingers feverishly working across the keyboard of her computer trying in vain too find a possible shorter route for Kiran and the rest of the gang. What routes was not clogged up with traffic simply didn't move in the right direction too get them there any faster too Donovan and the rest of the team's position. "Kiran is still making all hast towards your position as we speak." Luther Tonaka snorted too Evie's mild description of Kiran Lively making all hast. He knew all too well rt was more likely that she was blowing her horn and weaving through traffic like she was driving the Autobahn in Germany during a rain storm doing not less than a hundred ten miles per hour. "It's more than likely a sure thing," Jim spoke up shaking his head then groaned knowingly himself. "That our Dear Kiran is speeding readily across sidewalks too haul arse too get here." Jim stated as fact knowing quite well Kiran Lively's driving ability which could scare ten years off any Indie race car driver. Every member with the only exception of Samatha Tyler has been in a vehicle with Kiran speeding too what each of them would have bet would have been certain death from a fiery crash. Jim stood there stock still for only maybe a whole millisecond running all the possibilities through his mind faster than most any computer with the possible exception of Evie's neurons on what his next course of action sould be. He nodded too himself as he locked in his plan for this weird arse assignment. Jim had no problem playing it by ear but that left one other wrench in the works that he wasn't so sure he or his team needed too face at any moment. Donovan knew that just letting the bodies drop where they may was not the most opportune answer for this operation as it stood. "Watch each other's back," Jim ordered eyeing each member of his team that was standing within sight of him right now in turn. He knew full well that each member of the team including Samatha Tyler would do exactly that but saying it outloud always seem too make him feel better. Jim also knew that there was one little dilemma which everyone one of them knew they would each have too face in turn. The dilemma was not too kill every Mother's son that crossed their path unless their lives were in direct threat. Jim knew without any doubt that Sam would do exactly that but that she would kill without blinking if a team mate was in danger. Jim knew deep down that he really didn't even have say that. But the itch at the back of Jim's neck made him wonder why there were two separate Ortelian's on site that seemed too be working two separate agendas. That was only one of many little tidbits of unanswered info that bothered Jim about this situation a freaking lot. Everyone watching the other's team members six was extra important right now. He knew Sam would be on a very hypervigilant watch especially once the rest of the team clocked in on site any time now. Jim Donovan's mind clicked back too the here and now of the moment. "Tell the rest of the crew too pick up the paced." Jim added for Evie but knew that she would already be conveying those same sentiments too team two. Jim turned quickly too Sam Tyler nodding as he pulled the Navy Colt from the holster on his left hip. "You ready too go blow some shit up?" he asked a silly kid smile widening across his chiseled face. "Thought you would never ask." Sam replied quickly motioning for Jim too move out. Luther eased the service door open with a simple flip of his hip moving casually too the right. Sam followed close behind surveying the left side of the wide open hallway. They both stopped as one in the moderately dark shadows that appeared between the service lights at five foot intervals watching and listening for anything or anyone too sound off. Nothing went off nor did anyone call out too stop them.
Luther placed a gentle hand on Sam's right forearm giving her the signal too move up the hallway.
