Beauty and the Bestiality

"Whore!" Someone screamed towards Belle as she walked down the street towards the library.

She could've simply stayed home, as there was a library in the palace, but she needed an excuse to get out. Things were everything but calm in the palace as the accusations were flying  about Belle committing bestiality.

"Oh look, it's the whore." She heard someone else murmur.

Everyone has been like this since she had married Adam (the beast).

"She used to be such a sweet girl. What happened to her?"

"She'd screw anything, wouldn't she? She's going to hell..."

Adam wasn't a beast anymore, why couldn't they understand that? Belle finally made it to the library. As she opened the door, the old man running the library looked up, giving her a smile. He was the only one who hadn't lost his mind, unlike the other madmen she was overrun with.

"Hello, Belle. Is anything better out there?" He asked.

Belle shook her head woefully.

"They still believe I'm some kind of satanic witch." Belle said. "It's been a week. Plus Adam is a human now. Don't you think they'd let it go?"

"Just keep your head up. This will blow over, I'm sure." He told her.

Belle picked out a book and checked it out, saying her thanks as she walked out. She went to Adam's and her palace. It was eerily quiet as she walked in, unlike when she left. This made her nervous.

"Hello! Anyone home!" She called out.

Mrs. Potts and Chip walked past her. They didn't saying a word, but were giving her sad, sympathetic looks. What was going on? She approached Lumiere.

"What's going on?" She asked.

"Mademoiselle..." Lumiere started. "Some guys from PETA were here. They took Adam."

Belle was at a loss for words. Her beast was taken away from her.

"Is that all?" She asked in a whisper, tears brimming her eyes.

"Well..."

Before Lumiere could say anything else, a rough knocking came at the door. Belle went to go get it. As soon as she opened the door, she was grabbed by the arm and dragged out the door by a strong man.

"What is the meaning of this?"

"There are orders by many to have you executed. You'll be burned at the stake." The man informed her.

Her body shook as she processed the fact that she was going to die, and that enough people in the town wanted it to happen. She didn't fight when the man tied her to the wooden pole. Maybe now, she can be free.
