[Alright guys I have tons of editing to do with this story that its not even funny. It's a bit tragic actually and I a lot of date screwed up so I'm gonna get that stuff fixed up too. Sorry for the long wait on the update I know it's been months but I've been so focused on DR and LAE that I seemingly forget about this story. However fear not I've gotten a lot of new ideas for this book so more chapters to come!]

I hadn't been on a date in so long but I tried to remember the ropes of everything to the best of my abilities. Haley created small talk as we looked over our menus and decided what we'd eat.

"So what was it like being turned?" Haley leaned in across the table and asked me the question in a almost whisper.

"Well it wasn't painful, quite simple really" I placed my menu down on the table.

"How does one go about becoming a vampire?" She asked this question much more quickly making me smile and lean in.

"I'm not telling you, it's not something you want trust me I'd give anything to be human again" I told her truthfully and she smiled with a hint of curiosity in her eyes.

"Why? You're the strongest, fastest, most feared creature in the world and you'd be willing to give all that up?" She replied and I simply nodded.

"Yeah, you don't know what it's like watching people you meet and come to love and care about grow old and die... It's not something you wanna live through eventually you end up alone" I spoke with a much truth as I could because I could hear her thoughts on what being a vampire would be like.

"You're reading my mind aren't you?" She asked and I put my hands up in defense.

"I'd never" I said chuckling and she giggled in return. I enjoyed watching her smile and I couldn't help but think she had stepped into a great world of danger.

"You know you're clearly a very smart but foolish girl?" I asked her.

"How?"

"You're on a date with a vampire and everything about me puts you in danger but you don't even care."

"Foolish i am, smart only in the book world... A little birdy told me to take more risk what's more riskier then falling for a blood sucking creature?" She asked tilting her head to the side and I chuckled more. Everything inside of me scream stay away from her but I knew I wouldn't be able to not this far into anyway. I watched as her bright ocean blue eyes twinkled from the light over us and she tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear.

"You know I haven't been on a date since 1962" I suddenly had the urge to just tell her everything.

"1962? Are you kidding me?" She asked sporting a huge shocked expression.

"I'm serious but I'm doing okay right?" I asked her.

"Surprisingly yes but would I be a pest if I said I wasn't that hungry anymore?" She stated pouting and I shook my head no in response.

"No of course not if you'd like we can go on a few adventures" I told her and she got excited barely sitting still on her side of the booth.

"Adventures? Like?" Both questions were asked at one and I slide out of the booth and extended by hand out. Hers found its place in mine as I pulled her outside and out to her car.

"Well we can do whatever you'd like to do you name me and we'll do it" I pulled her driver side door open as she slipped inside but slide over to the passenger side.

"You drive and I don't know let's go back to the manor I like it there its not as creepy as everyone thinks" She prompted and I took my place in the drivers seat and reached for her key that she had been dangling in front of me. The car came to life with a roar and I drove off getting an eerier feeling as if someone had been watching me again. I knew it couldn't have been any of my siblings seeing as though they had all made their appearances. I shook the uneasy feeling and thought from my head as we traveled back to my house.

"Is your dad going to worry where you are?" I asked after a few moments of comfortable silence causing Haley to curse under her breath and pull out her phone.

"I'll just text him and telling him I'm at Britt's he's most likely working late anyways" She told me and I could tell there was a part of her that was upset by that. For a moment I didn't want to intrude on her life as we came to a stop and I got of the car.

"Is he working a lot?" I asked grabbing her door and letting her out of the car. She smiled barely and nodded her head as I led her inside and up to my room.

"Yeah after my mom died he threw himself into work and I understood you know? I tried everything in the world to keep busy too but after a while I just wanted my dad around" She admitted kicking off her shoes and hopping on to my bed as if she had done it millions of times before. Tucking her legs under her she took a deep breath and sighed.

"I get it for a while I wanted nothing more than for my father to love me and spend time with me but Milo was his pupil and he couldn't honestly give a blood hell about me" I told her hoping it might help. The smile she wore seconds after that insured me that it did help but not because she enjoyed my own pains but because we were somewhat in the same boat.

"Enough with the sad talk, I say we pop in a movie" She stated clapping her hands and I grinned.

"Is that honestly what you want to do on our first date?" I asked getting up and switching on the TV.

"Yes I'm a very simple girl Noah" She said fanning herself and making a comfortable spot for her to lay. I laughed at that scene but joined her on the bed and pulled up our movie list.

"Okay I havem't seen half the modern day movies so you're going to have to choose" I told her and she more then happily grabbed the remote and went through the list.

"The Notebook, nah too clique...A Walk To Remember another clique, The Lucky One..." She started and the frown on her face caused me to smile because for some reason I found the wrinkle above her nose cute. "All clique movies by Nickolas Sparks but I guess The Notebook will do" She finished.

"Sounds alright to me" I told her as she hesitantly moved in closer to me.

Not bad for a first day after 50 years.
