Your father knows secrets that he shouldn't ...

 Prologue

Enar

It was the first autumn morning this year, a beautiful gift dawn. The man with long brown hair had the same fluttering through the wind, as his face stared north, lost in his thoughts.

A soldier approached the captain, giving only a slight pull in his cloak. "Sir." said the soldier. Enar finally came out of his thoughts to focus on cadet. It was cadet Hars.

He continued.

"Sir, Commander Smith calls for your presence on his office."

He nodded.

"Okay. Complete the inspection of the buildings while I'm out, cadet Hars." Hars saluted his superior and with that, the captain retired to meet with his boss.

He stumbled upon some ruins on the way to the camp. The Survey Corps had set up tents outside of the wall, an abandoned village, in that place there wasn't a big risk of appearing Titans and they could make a final renewal of equipment before following the course back to the Wall Maria.

He found Smith in his tent, noting with a pen on a paper, probaly a report, while giving orders to another soldier. Once the soldier departed Enar approached the tent carefully.

"Knock, knock. You called me, Commander?" Said in the presence of his superior. Erwin keep writing down on his paper, concentrated eyes, without looking, not even once, to Enar.

"I need to talk about something with you." Said the man with golden hair. "We are being investigated-" paused, "- most especifficaly, YOU are being investigated." This time, the commander turned his eyes to Enar, the same emotionless expression that he always carried in his face.

Suddenly the captain was nervous, but didn't demonstrated.

"What makes you think that, eyebrows?" He joked a little. He was close enough with Erwin to call him by that nickname.

Erwin ignored the "compliment" and continued:

"A group of men appeared yesterday looking for you. When we asked why, they groaned, kicked some barrels and went away grumbling. I don't understand how you always find a way to make enemies."

"Pfft, why you say that they are my enemies, so easy?" without waiting for an answer, he continued, this time more, a bit more serious "They even gave a name? I could know who they are. I'm not really beloved, ya' know." Erwin finished his writing, aparently, putting his pen aside and getting up to look better to the captain.

"They said you owed them something. They mentioned something about" secret informations"."

To this, the blood of the swarthy man froze. Do Erwin suspect--

 He disguised his worry, shrugging.

"Please, they came here to investigate me because I've made soldiers commit suicide by my orders?"

He realized that Erwin shoulders tensed a little the pronunciation of the last words. Captain Brokk rubbed his nose with a finger, as Erwin hadn't said anything, assumed that their meeting was over.

He turned to leave, without even giving his superior a salute, when Erwin suddenly asked:

"And your family?" Brokk stopped halfway, and turned back to his superior.

"Vali took another cold and Vymir broke an arm. They live giving me problems." He gave a short laugh. "Dagmyr is healthy, as always" Erwin was staring serious at him. Enar, slightly bothered about it, says:

"Why you ask?" Smith still watched, looked away only for a moment, then returned his attention to the squad leader.

"You care about them, right?" he connected his fingers together "What if those men-"

Enar gave a hysterical laugh, interrupting what Erwin was about to say.

"Oh - hoh! They wouldn't dare, Erwin. Unless they want to end with all their bones broken." and with this, he turned around and walked to his squad, leaving a worried blond man behind.

-----------------------------------------

Later, when they reached the walls, the first thing he did was ask permission to see his family. His family was the reason he joined the Survey Corps, while many other people would consider their family to NOT join the Corps. But when his first children were born, Enar didn't had money to enough to support his wife and children. He heard someone say that the Survey Corps paid a good salary to their soldiers, and that was what he needed if he wanted his children to have a good life.

He sacrificed himself for his family ...

Taking his attention to the horse, which he led with a rope tangle his saddle , Brokk took an apple from a bag to give it to the horse. He was close to his house, recognizing the forest that has always been there as long as he remembered.

Enar suddenly heard a voice of a cheerful boy, far away.

"Dad had arrived! Vali come here,  father is here!" It was Vymir. His son came running toward him, full of energy. He couldn't hold a smile for his child. Vymir had reached him, beating against his father, Enar grabbing him by the arms ( so he wouldn't fall) and rising him in the air.

The two laughed hysterically.

"Vymir! You are better!" Enar observed in relation to Vym's before, broken arm.

The boy was a little bothered by the question, but answered cheerfully.

"I'm strong because I am like a dragon, father. Strong like you!"

They both knew that was not true. Vymir had regenerated for another reason ...

Slowly and quietly as always, Vali approached her father and brother, muttering shyly as she faced her feet.

"I thought you wouldn't come back, father." He didn't liked when Vali acted in a sad manner (which she did often), so he, with an attack, managed to pull his daughter up into his arms, now with both twins in each of his arms.

"Cheer, Val! How's your cold?"

"A little annoying." She said rubbing her red and flowing nose to prove her point. 'Perhaps, the healing factor does not work with diseases ...' thought Enar. Val should have already...

"Enar?" He heard Dagmyr say. He turned to find a tall, skin white as milk woman, long-white platinum hair dancing free in the wind, along with the robust robes she wore . "Dag ..." Dagmyr smiled to the allure of Enar on her beauty, she never failed to impress him. His wife came up slowly.

"How long you intended to stay there, troublemaker? I was starting to get worried." She pulled one of his ears playfully. She firmly stared at his face, with her beautiful blue-lilac orbs. "You look tired ..."

"Of course, mother. He was fighting against the Titans!" Vymir writhed in one of his father's arms, he still had the twins in his lap.

Without a word,Enar  suddenly pulls  Dagmyr in a group hug, squeezing him, his wife and children together.

Enar laughed.

"We are all titans now!"

Vymir, Dagmyr and Enar laughed together, but Vali felt somewhat uncomfortable with the idea.
