I walked away with Dan...I stopped to look at the guy whom I thought I'd be able to truse. For a moment there, his silver eyes...he brushed his hair up and sighed. I did not let Shin's appearance get into my mind. I had someone who was much more worth my time ; Dan. It was after school, as usual I walked towards the gate. I took off my ribbon, yesterday was too much to handle already..I then saw Maya, she waved at me. She and I talked and laughed merrily under the sun. It all came to a stop when she moved on to a topic about Shin. I refused to listen to her but she was persistent. I had to listen to her. This was what she said.
" When Shin was only 8 years old. His mansion had been burned down, he probably lost how to smile then, back in middle school he was really quiet so his other classmates called him 'Spastic' and a 'retard'. I was in his class so I stood up for him. He was such a coward back then, But I guess he became even more matured. Everything changed abruptly."
I felt utterly upset, although Shin had a lot of strong points I refused to get myself to understand him. But I should've really considered making it up to him. Just then a boy came running to us, one of our seniors, Rae. I could obviously sense the liking between Maya and Rae, It was really obvious! Inside of me whenever I had the hunch, I would be certain that something was fishy between those two. I pushed Maya to Rae on purpose, I saw their face turning into shades of red! I giggled, It was nice to see a progressing to - be couple.
Just as I said that, I felt my face getting hot. I couldn't stop thinking of Dan! It was all so sudden. I sometimes wonder, after the kiss , were me and Dan official? I wasn't sure at all, he could've done it to protect me. I was so confused. Ugh. A day passed just like the wind blowing. I stepped into the classroom, I usually came so early that even the teachers weren't there. Just then, I saw him. Shin turned to look at me with a cold hard stare. Something told me to leave but I decided to stay.I manged to apologize to Shin, when I turned to look at him, he simply snickered. I guess one couldn't make a rock move on it's own. He stood up and walked to wards me, he leaned towards me and kissed my cheeks! My eyes widened, he walked off. Was I stuck in a love triangle?Dan walked in, smiling. He came and sat next to me, he suddenly held my hand and said "I love you," I was speechless. I snapped myself out of my imaginary world.
I had to be realistic, I had to pour out the feelings locked up in my heart. Everytthing was perfect then, I hoped that moment would've lasted. Minutes later, the class room was filled with students, as I took out my stationaries I sensed myself being watched by Tiffany and Gina. This time, they weren't together..They were sitting far apart from each other. But you guessed it! They probably faught over a trivial matter. I detested such childish behaviour. As I was doing my work in the class room alone, I saw Gina coming towards me. I rolled my eyes, I didn't have the mood to fight at all. As she approached, I could see tears rolling down her rosy cheeks and the mascara on her eyes were wearing off. Something told me somethisng had indeed gone wrong. For once I let my gut feel control me.
"W- why is this always happening to me! I simply follow Tiffany cause' I wanted to be in the same level at others, why did everything had to back - fire now?! Gina said while wiping her tears off her face.
I comforted her, I totally wasn't her fault, I know that feeling. Sometimes in life we have to give up things that are completely worthless. After my little speech, Gina loosened up a bit. Gina laid her every trust on me. I guess I found a new friend. The next day, during gym class, I didn't know whether to laugh or cry! My gym teacher Jun Sensei had ordered I and Dan to collect the equipments from the storage room. Just as we were about to leave that storage rooom , door slammed shut! Dan tried opening the door but to no avail...I was all alone with him. I simply sat down next to the shelves where the Rackets were kept. I blushed intensly, I watched to many drama serials. Dan came and sat next to me, we talked for awhile. He was honestly really sweet, I heard the door being unlocked.Sensei apologized us due to the faulty doorshe gave us a green light to go back to our class room. Dan and I went for our next period; Music Class.
Glad to say, I was quite talented. A gift from Gab! My music teacher, Mdm Mei favoured me alot, she told us many different kinds of Histories about Music. We saw the door open, in came a girl. Her hair was tied up in a pony tail with her Carmine red bangs falling down her cheeeks. She had apple red eyes. She sttruted to Mdm Mei.
"Class we have a new student, please give a warm welcome to Aisaka Rina" Mdm Mei announced.
