Prologue

When my alarm rang, I quickly turned it off before standing up and started doing my everyday school morning routine which consists of 100 push ups and sit ups, taking a shower, preparing things needed for school, then breakfast.

Once I finished everything, I got into my white brand new Chevrolet Code 130r that my parents bought me for my 16th birthday and drove off quickly to avoid traffic.

I arrived at school every 7:30 am since classes starts at 8:00 am. I got into my locker and got my books for my first subject which was Math.

I don't really complain about Math but History just tortures the hell out of me. When the first bell rang, I ran off to the classroom in maximum speed and arrived in time together with the teacher.

The teacher greeted us with a smile on her face as I sat down on my spot at the back which was beside the window which is why I don't really pay attention to class.

Looking at the beautiful shade of blue identical to my baby blue-colored hair and birds flying making a V formation and such.

"Luke, you better listen to the teacher's discussion or else she'll give you detention again." Kem warned me.

Oh yeah. I forgot to introduce my one and only best friend. Her name is Kem McKayla, she's really sweet and fun to be around but don't get her mad or else you'll regret on what you did. You'll find out later why.

"I'm sorry. I was just distracted." I whispered back.

Math just finished quickly and the teacher gave us 2 homework to be done which was really tiring since I still had to do house chores whenever I arrive at home but my parents still give me time to do my homework and private stuff...

After Math was Science. While I was walking in the hallway, I accidentally bumped into someone and tripped. I was lucky that no one was around or they'd laugh at me until they would laugh their guts out.

"I'm sorry." I apologized while picking up my books. The guy offered a hand and I gladly accepted it, thanking him.

"You're welcome." his eyes immediately turned from violet to red for a second as he smirked and walked away, leaving me in the center of the hallway, shocked.

Did I actually see his eyes turn red or was it just my imagination? I rubbed my eyes and decided to go to my next class.

"Lukeeeeeeee~ There was this guy from class.... 3-A? There were rumors saying he is a vampire or he has some power that could control someone? His name is Alaric.. Alaric Kaiser! He's super-duper amazing!" Kem quietly whispered to me while there was drool hanging from the side of her mouth.

"Kem, you're drooling and yes, vampires are very amazing and is it possible for someone to control another person? Well, we'll check later since Class 3-A is our class partner in Gym Class today." I replied to her, keeping my sexy poker-face expression.

"Sure." she grinned.

During break, I caught glimpse of the guy who I bumped into staring at me but he quickly turned away and started drinking his drink or whatever it was. He looks mysterious though but I ignored him and talked to Kem the whole break.

Next was gym class. While I was in the boys locker, I changed into my Gym uniform and went outside to run few laps while girls were screaming before grabbing my towel and drinking water. The coach made us run 20 laps for boys and 15 laps for girls. Of course, I was the one who finished first, thanks to the push ups and sit ups every morning and grabbed my towel to wipe my sweat away. Once Gym class was finished, I went to the boys locker to take a quick shower while every one was changing back to their school uniforms. I wrapped my waist with a towel and walked towards my locker to change into my school uniform. I felt someone tap my back and realized that it was the guy that I bumped into earlier.

"Hello, Lukas Knox. My name is Alaric Kaiser. I'm not a vampire, or some guy who could control zombies or whatsoever but that's partly true. It is just the both of us here so you can argue to whatever I am going to say to you but you have to listen to me. I am going to give you an envelope and you would be probably confused on the content inside of it, but inside the envelope, there is a piece of paper where I wrote my number on and feel free to ask any question to me but not money. Okay?" he smiled widely.

"Sure but.. did I see your eyes turn red?" I asked him while buttoning my shirt but there was no answer. When I looked behind me to check whether he is there or not, he disappeared and saw an envelope floating inside my locker. This must be the envelope he was talking about. I grabbed the envelope and placed it inside my bag while getting ready for my next subject.

Classes went on smoothly and on my way back home, I saw the guy- I mean Alaric and he winked at me mouthing "Choose your choice wisely" before leaving with a guy with silver long hair and a scarf. I got into my car and drove back home to see my brother, Calum, on the couch shirtless and watching TV.

"Welcome back, brother dear." he winked at me while I blushed and went to the kitchen to eat dinner.

Calum isn't actually my brother, but he was adopted since when we were young, I almost got driven on a car but if it wasn't for Calum, I could have died right now.

His parents abandoned him so my parents decided to adopt him as my brother and we're pretty much in good terms right now. I mean like.. he's overprotective and mysterious. Something like that.

While I finished my house chores, I quickly answered my math homework. After a hour, I took a bath and brushed my teeth and went to bed. Seconds later, I finally remembered about the envelope that Alaric gave me and I slowly opened the envelope showing a letter and a piece of paper with a phone number stuck on it. I opened the letter to read the content but the letters glowed gold and says that there is a dangerous mission I had to accomplish and I am NOT allowed to give it to someone else but me and there were two choices. Whether Yes or Yes. I was REALLY confused right now so I decided to use the paper in order to call Alaric. It ringed a few times until someone picked up.

"Hello?" he greeted me with a raspy voice

"Hello, this is uh Lukas and about this letter you gave me, why are the choices only Yes and Yes? And what dangerous mission? Why me? Will I die? Just tell me everything please?" I asked him in a polite manner.

"Well Good Evening, Lukas. I have no idea why the choices are only Yes and Yes but when you choose one of them, the world will eventually have its changes and there will be dangerous missions given in order to keep the world normal but once you fail...." he paused for a good 5 seconds before continuing "Never mind but I have no idea what these dangerous missions are since they are given randomly, and they chose you since you got skills or something. Will you die? I have NO IDEA. But I gave it to you since I am the Prince of Xenuar and I am looking for a partner but the moment I looked into your eyes, the envelope appeared eventually which means I have found my destined partner which was you and that happened so I hope you accept the request."

"Seriously? What the fudge is wrong with this world and you're a prince? Wow that's amazing but what will happen if I throw this letter? It means No right?" I scowled through the phone

"Then the world will end. " he said in a monotone voice. Then I heard a ring through the phone but I ignored it.

"What the hell?" I snapped at him

"By the way, my father just called or the King of Xenuar and he said that you have the rarest element in this whole damn universe and that is partly a reason why you were chosen to be my partner." he said politely.

"Fine. But this is not my fault if everything will be screwed up." I threw the phone before hearing a slight "Good luck" from the phone and pressed the glowing left Yes on the letter then every body part of mine was numb. I fell on the ground having a seizure while blood came out of my nose and everything went black.
