Ashley started to mumble to herself creepily after telling Bella about her parents. She was saying something like what has she ever done to them that would make them not love her anymore.
"How long ago did your parents leave, Ashley?" I asked
"About 3 months ago." She answered as if she couldn't remember. That's quite a while for her to be on her own out here. I had thought because this kind of seemed fishy, a 4 year old alone in the woods for about 3 months. I looked at Justin who was patching up Buster. He saw me and shrugged not knowing what to say.
"Would you like to stay with us until your parents, and our father come back." I asked her
"Um yeah sure please." She answered
The next day
We soon realized that Ashley gets flashbacks and sometimes screams. In the night she gets many nightmares so either me or Justin sometimes Buster, surprisingly, comforts her. It's tiring don't get me wrong but she is pretty helpful for example if you ask her to go get firewood she would be gone as soon as you were done speaking. She would even go get water. She is a pretty tough little girl. She says that sometimes she wanted to help her father with working on remote control cars, but her father always said that she was too little and would lose the pieces. She said she would get really upset and run away crying. She would hide away. After a day they got used to each other and were like family.
Sorry for the short chapters but I'm trying to fill in the gaps. But please stick with me. It should get interesting and I'm pretty sure I told you guys that this is my first story. So as I said please stick with me on this.
