Season 1: Artemis x Damon Al Ghul
He didn't think it was possible. He was in love. With a hero. An ex - side kick. He didn't like emotions, hardly showed them. His loyalties were to the his father, and to himself. Until he met them.
The Junior Justice League.
He trusts them. Damon is his name. An anti-hero. He saves people but also kills. His father taught him to show no emotion, to be tough and not let feelings get in the way of his job. But, they saved him multiple times, and he returned the favor. Damon works alone, although he does help both his father and the ex-sidekicks. His loyalties are split, and he can't decide.
He doesn't want to choose. His friends, or his blood?
He sighed, running a hand through his raven black hair. He was at Mount Justice.
This all leads back to a feeling.
An emotion.
Love.
He always felt an attraction between a certain blonde archer. At first, he dismissed the feelings as normal hormones.
Then they got stronger.
And stronger.
And he had no idea how to deal with them. He couldn't go to his father, that would cause bloodshed.
He already rejected the idea of telling Artemis. He didn't want to get hurt. He shows more emotions when his strings are pulled, when people mess with him.
She was one of his best friends- only friends.
Damon didn't want ro ruin that. He didn't want to destroy the friendship with the beautiful hero he fell in love with.
That would only cause awkwardness, distrust and simple heartbreak every time he saw her.
Unknown to him, She felt the exact same.
Artemis couldn't stop thinking about the black haired Anti-hero that saved her life.
She had always been with one other person she could trust with everything. So falling in love with someone, terrified her.
To no end.
Artemis walked into the kitchen, where M'gann was baking cookies. Then she notices Damon. Her eyes wide, she sucked in a sharp breath. Her heart beat faster.
"Hey Damon." She said, thanking that her voice didn't sound as nervous as she felt.
He turned toward her, his eyes remaining cold and his face expressionless, but his eyes softened upon gazing at her.
"Hello Artemis." He replied, patting the spot next to him. "Care to sit?" He offered. He was always a gentleman to her, but Artemis didn't know if it was just because of them being friends or if it was because he liked her the way she liked him. It was all confusing.
Should she tell him?
Letting out the breath Artemis didn't know she was holding, she nodded and sat down beside the teen wearing black jeans with a black sweater. She had to admit, he looked incredibly hot at the moment. "Your staring." Damon's voice brought her out of her thoughts.
Blinking rapidly, she snapped out of her dream.
A blush covered her cheeks as she avoided her gaze. "Uh, sorry, I was just thinking." Artemis admitted. Tilting his head, Damon couldn't help but smile slightly. Was she thinking about him, he couldn't help but think.
"You two really need to go out, the tension you two have is painful to watch." The two teens both turned toward Robin's voice, who was in the kitchen, eating cookies. The archer's cheeks turned an even darker shade of red. Artemis stole a glance at Damon, who was avoiding all their gazes, pink tinting his skin.
"What do you mean?" Artemis asked, almost choking on her words. She didn't mean to ask that, it just kind of came out. Robin laughed. "It's obvious! The way you stare at each other when the other isn't looking; or how you talk to each other. And the best part, only you Artemis can make Damon smile!" He laughed again, taking a cookie and leaving.
"Is he telling the truth? Do you like me?" Damon asked, tilting his head, making his raven black hair fall slightly in his face. Artemis blushed a bit, looking anywhere but his piercing eyes. She took in a deep breath. "Yes Damon. I really do like you." She admitted, closing her eyes, waiting to hear rejection, only to feel something on her lips. Artemis opened her eyes, to see the raven haired boy, kissing her softly, cupping her cheeks.
Artemis kissed back, melting at the feeling. It was like heaven. Soon the two pulled away, and Damon said, "I don't like you back, I love you."
At that Moment, Damon knew where is loyalties lied.
Done! So very done. I am so sorry that took so long but, I was having some difficulties finding time with other books and homework and stuff. But I hope this was worth it, I though it was adorable. Still, I will not take requests since I have about ten more lined up. Love you all!
