An alarm rang through the silent house, waking up the sleeping blonde. The young girl got out of her bed and did her usual morning routines. Lucy walked to her kitchen in her school uniform and her backpack slung over her shoulder. She scanned the room and realized that Virgo had left yesterday. She sighed and began packing her lunch, which consisted of a granola bar and a water. She looked around the room and nodded. She put her lunch away and went to the bathroom. She looked in the mirror to double check that her bruises are covered, and as she looked into her eyes, she sighed. She tried smiling, but soon stopped.
Lucy was walking to the library when she heard her name be called out. She turned around and saw her friend, Carper, running up to her. Lucy waved at her and Carper smiled. "Lucy, I made some new friends! Want to meet them? They're really nice!" Lucy nodded and followed Carper to the lunch area. It was lunch, but Lucy enjoyed reading in the library then being outside. Carper stopped at a group of girls. The girls looked at Carper and smiled. "Hey Carper. Who's this?" One of the girls with purple hair asked. Carper smiled and looked at Lucy. "This is Lucy. She's my best friend." Lucy gave a small smile, but soon regretted it. "Ew! Don't smile, you creep! Do you even know how to smile?" The girl with blue hair said in an annoying tone. The rest of the girls nodded, and Carper looked at Lucy and nodded. "Yea, Lucy. Smiling doesn't suit you." Lucy looked at Carper and nodded. She walked away quickly, ignoring Carper's pleas for her to stay. "I cant believe you. . ." Lucy whispered as she walked to the library. For the next two months, that's all the girls there would talk about. And that's when the bulling began.
Lucy shook her head and walked out of the bathroom. I smiled at Mira yesterday, and she didn't say anything. . . But then again, she could just be hiding it. Maybe they don't like me. . . And they just feel bad for what Natsu did. . . It's still hurting but its nothing I cant handle.
Lucy looked at her ankle and pressed her lips into a thin line. It still hurts but they hurt me way worse than this. She hurt me more than this. . . Lucy slapped both her cheeks lightly and walked out of her home. She made it to the bus stop and stood far back. Lucy looked at the sky and took a deep breath. It's barely Tuesday. . . I'll make it!
Lucy was brought out of her thoughts when she felt someone grab her shoulders. She gasped and was about to whack the person, when she caught a glimpse of Salmon hair. She straightened her composure and nodded at him. "Hello Natsu." Natsu grinned at her. "Hey Luce! You hanging out with us today?"
Lucy stayed quiet for a moment, then shook her head and looked away. "I'll be in the library. Thank you and your group for allowing me to be with you all for the first day. I will be leaving you alone now, so you don't need to worry about this." Natsu gave her a confused look, then grabbed her chin and made her look at him. "Lucy, you're allowed to hang with us. We really enjoyed you. You're nice." He grinned and let her go. She blushed and looked at the sky. "You don't need to spare my feelings. I will just be a bother to you and your friends." "Lucy! You will never be a bother to us! So don't ever say that!"
Lucy bit her lip and looked at him. She gave a small smile, then nodded. "S-so, it'd be alright if I hang out with you guys. . ?" Natsu cheeks turned pink and he looked at the ground. "Of course it would! I love having you around." Lucy nodded and went serious as she saw who approached them. She wanted to run, to hide, but she was frozen in place. Natsu saw her, then looked back and saw a girl with short Hazelnut hair walking up to them, a sadistic smile on her lips. Natsu looked back at Lucy and grabbed her hand and started dragging her away. He stood by the bus stop with Lucy. The girl approached them and smiled at Lucy. "Hey Lucy, remember me? Carper? Your best friend from Amber?" Lucy nodded and moved closer to Natsu. "Yes, Carper. I do remember you, and all the things you did. What are you doing here?" Carper giggled and grabbed Lucy's arm tightly and pulled her close. Lucy bit her lip to stop the yelp of pain. "C-carper. . .T-that hurts." She smiled and held it tighter. "I'm going to Fairy High for now. Amber burned down yesterday, and I heard you went here, so I thought It'd be fun to be with you again." Lucy's eyes started filling with tears. "Carper, it's hurts. . ." Carper smiled and put all her force into squeezing it tighter. "Don't be such a baby, Lucy. This is nothing-" She was thrown to the floor by Lucy, who was in tears glaring at her. Everyone looked at them confused. Carper stood up and was about to sock Lucy, but someone caught it. "Leave her alone!"
Natsu pushed her back and grabbed Lucy's shoulder and lead her into the bus, which had just arrived at that exact moment. The two sat in the back row in silence. "Let me see." Lucy looked at him confused and realized that he was referring to her arm. She pulled up her sleeve, revealing a bruise and a red mark. "She bruised you?" He asked, slightly angry. She shook her head and looked him in the eye. "I got hurt yesterday while walking home." He growled and looked away. "Who is she anyway?" Lucy sighed and looked out the window. "A girl from my old school. She was my best friend at some point, but she met some new friends and started growing worse and worse by the day. She was the main girl who. . . Never mind, just forget about it. . . Where's Wendy? And Gray and Erza? We just passed by their stop." Natsu put his hands behind his head and closed his eyes. "Wendy went with Zeref today. She wanted to stop by the library this morning, and since Zeref hangs out there before going to school, she went with him. And Juvia's mom dropped off Erza and Gray this morning at school."
