It is my first day of school. . . Finally away from my father, from the bullies at my old private school, from the memories. . . Miss Spetto said to smile more, that it would help me make friends.  Maybe I should start dressing instead of just sitting on this bed doing nothing but thinking and staring mindlessly at a bird that is sitting on the tree in my front yard.

Lucy stood up and began stretching before getting her uniform. Fairy Tail high was a free dress school, but they did sell uniforms for those who wanted them, Lucy being one of them. She would rather wear something the school provides and get teased than wearing her own style and get teased. Also she grew accustomed to wearing uniforms because of her old school. Forget those people. They brought nothing but discomfort to you. . .

She sighed and began to put on her tan uniform. Her uniform consisted of a tan knee length skirt, a white dress shirt, and a tan vest. She walked to her bathroom and looked in the mirror. She sighed at what she saw. Her blonde hair was a tad messy but she didn't care, her face also held many bruises  and cuts, so did the rest of her body thanks to her 'friends and family', her eyes had bags under them due to lack of sleep, and her eyes also . . . They seemed dull, with no life whatsoever.

Lucy washed her face with cold water, brushed her silky hair, and applied make-up to the bruises in attempt to cover the more noticeable ones. She went to her kitchen and was surprised, well not that surprised anymore, to see Virgo making breakfast. Lucy sat at the counter and watched Virgo cook.

"Virgo, anything I could help you with?" Virgo shook her head and looked at Lucy. "No, just focus in getting your supplies ready." Lucy nodded and jumped off the counter and walked to her backpack that was sitting on the bench near the door. Lucy double checked to see that all her supplies were inside before walking back to the dinning area where her pancakes were patiently waiting. She quickly ate and grabbed the lunch Virgo packed. She placed the box inside her backpacked and slung it over one shoulder and headed to the bus stop.

She stood calmly at the stop waiting for the school bus to come. It didn't really take much effort to ignore the obnoxious teens who stood at the same stop with their friends. She sighed and looked at her watch. The bus is taking a tad to long to get here, isn't it?

She was knocked out of her thoughts.  No, literally! A salmon haired boy was sitting next to her rubbing the side of his head. A small girl with navy blue hair that was tied into twin tails came running up to us. She glared at the boy then looked at Lucy. "I am so sorry for my brother's accident. He was texting while riding that skateboard of his. He ended up speeding up, leaving me in the dust. He must've still not be paying attention when he crashed into you. Natsu, say sorry!"

The salmon boy who Lucy is guessing is Natsu gave her a sheepish smile. "Yea, sorry. You aren't hurt, right?"

Lucy shook her head and stood up, soon feeling a jolt of pain coming from her ankle. She took a deep breath and gathered her things. Good thing I packed a first aid kit. I'll tend to it if I sit alone in the bus or in the bathroom at school-

"Natsu-nii, she is hurt! Look at her ankle! Miss, please sit with me in the bus so I could wrap it." All Lucy did was stare at her and slowly nod. The small girl smiled and then jumped at little. "I am so sorry. I never introduced myself. I am Wendy Marvell, Natsu's stepsister. Nice to meet you."

"Oh and I'm Natsu Dragneel. Nice to meet ya." Lucy looked at him and nodded. "I am Lucy Heartfillia. Nice to meet you as well." Natsu grinned and looked at the street. He put his arm in front of Lucy. "Back up, the bus is coming."

Wendy and Lucy both backed up as well as Natsu. The bus arrived, but since there was a mud puddle and the bus's speed, the mud shot up, wetting many kids. Natsu grinned and carried Lucy inside the bus. Lucy tried jumping off, but he grinned and held her tighter. She felt her face heat up and covered her face. He put her in an empty seat and sat in the row in front of that. Wendy sat next to her and got out a first-aid kit from her backpack and started wrapping a gauze around Lucy's swollen ankle. "That should minimize the pain for now. I'm still incredibly sorry for my brother's actions."
