Calum sat on the floor, blankly staring at the white wall in front of him. The paint was faintly chipped, and appeared to have been for a while.
The nurses and doctors buzzed about the various different hallways throughout the hospital, none of them stopping to tell him the information he was desperate to know except for one.
"Mr. Hood?" the male nurse approached Calum as he faintly shifted upward to look at him.
"Yes?" he replied.
"Luke has just woken up and is stable. You'll be able to visit with him until 5:30," the nurse gave him a sympathetic smile, "The doctor has decided to keep him for the following two days to examine just how serious his memory loss is, but feel free to visit every day until then."
Calum simply nodded before standing up and following the nurse to his husband's room.

Calum breathed a huge sigh of relief as he watched Luke struggle with the TV remote.
Though it was fairly difficult to walk into the room knowing that he would be almost nothing but a stranger to his own goddamn husband, Calum still waltzed in there with a faux determination to his step.
Luke finally acknowledged him when Calum cleared his throat obnoxiously from across the room. 'Luke hates when people do that,' he thought.
"Uh, hi?" he said, scratching about at his head bandage.
"Hi," Calum quietly replied, "I'm Calum. You're, uh, husband."
"Oh, yes!" Luke resumed his faint clicking on the remote, "Hello! Sorry, I don't seem to remember much of anything."
"It's alright," Calum offered a small smile, "Do you need help with that?"
Luke blushed a bit, "Um, maybe."
Calum laughed, and proceeded to walk towards the hospital bed and grab the remote out of his love's hands.

"And this was your dog, Molly," Calum sifted through the large stack of pictures until he landed upon the desired one, "She hated me from the moment she met me 'til the day she passed."
Luke looked very frustrated, and had been since Calum had started showing him pictures.
"I wish I could remember her. I love dogs," Luke frowned a bit.
"Just give it some time," Calum smiled, "You'll get it all back before you know it."
Calum grabbed a different bag he had brought from home, containing slightly newer pictures of Luke's family.
He picked one out from a barbecue a few months back; one with almost his entire family and close friends.
Calum began pointing out Luke's brothers, "These are your two brothers, Ben and Jack. You're practically the spitting image of both of them."
"So this must be my mum and dad," Luke smiled softly before taking the picture from Calum's hands, "Are they still back in Australia?"
"Yeah. They're planning to fly out here once you're released from the hospital," Calum returned as he began searching through his bag for different pictures.
