Morgan's POV:

Today is s Thursday!

Daddy and I are playing outside right now because I finished my homework! I had to write a little about what I like to do for fun!

He is helping me ride my bike.

I know how to ride, I'm just not very good.

"Ok Morgan I'm not going to hold on this time." Daddy said looking at me smiling.

"No Dad! You have!" I said.

"Okay." He said.

He gave me a big push as I pedaled.

"Look dad I can do it!" I said.

I didn't hear him respond.

"Dad?" I asked louder. I turned my head and saw my dad behind me running towards me.

He wasn't holding on!

I did this all by myself!

He ran up and picked me up.

"You did it Morgan! Without me!!" Daddy said picking me up and hugging me.

"I did it, I did it!" I cheered.

"Ok im going to get us water because you need to stay hydrated. Stay in the year ok?" Dad said.

"Ok!" I said.

We walked back to our house as he went inside real quick.

I went into our garage and got out some chalk and wrote my name.

I sat down and then heard a bark.

I looked around and saw a small white dog come towards me.

"Doggy!" I said excitedly.

"Hi what's your name?" I said petting the dog.

Joshua's POV:

I got the waters and walked out and heard Morgan talking.

"Hi what's your name?" I heard Morgan ask.

Is she talking to someone?

I ran out and saw her hunched over.

"Daddy look a dog!" She said.

Oh thank goodness.

I went over and looked for a collar.

It didn't have one.

"It doesn't have a collar." I said.

"What does that mean?" Morgan asked.

"He doesn't have a home." I said.

Her eyes changed to sad.

She loved animals so much.

"Can we keep him?" She asked innocently.

She was so caring and adorable.

"More I don't know-"

"Please Daddy! Look at this cute little face! And it doesn't have a home." She said sadly.

I sigh and went to the dog.

It was very cute.

"Let's take it to the vet and make sure he/she isn't sick." I said.

"Ok let's go!" She said grabbing my hand.

"Not so fast missy. We are going to need towels for him to sit on because he is not sitting in my car if he is dirty." I said.

"I'll get them!! Give him some water he might be thirsty." Morgan said running in.

I looked at the dog as it laid down.

He/she looked sad.

"Hi dog." I said sitting down.

I took the cup that I was going to drink water from and gave it to the dog as he drank it.

Wow Morgan was right.

The dog was thirsty.

Morgan came out with a mountain of towels in her hand.

I set them down in the car and put the dog on it as it just lay there not moving a bone.

"Morgan you have to be patient, I don't know if we are keeping this dog." I said while helping her into her car seat.

"Ok daddy." She said in her adorable little voice.

After a drive, that felt like forever, to the vet we got out and I held the small white dog in my arms.

Morgan and I walked in and waited in the waiting room.

"Joshua Evans?" The vet asked.

We walked back into the room as the vet had her back turned.

Her hair was burn and curly and in a high ponytail.

"Seems like you all are new here, I'm Dr. Ballinger..."
