"I've found out that I can travel with the light," Lexa said in a hushed voice. Lexa and Star were sitting in a little coffee café talking about all the new powers they have. Since Lexa and Star found out that they each had control over an element, they have been meeting in the same café every day after school to talk about all they had learned.

"I've also been changing. My hair is turning a golden blond," said an excited Lexa. She was right, she had been. Her hair was changed from a brunet into a wonderful silky blond, her once deep green eyes turned into a very light blue and if she didn't cover her face and arms with cover up then she would have white and yellow marks cover up her body. She showed Star yesterday her new tattoo that formed on her face. It was a blazing sun right around her left eye. It was amazing.

A wave of sadness hit Star. Unlike Lexa, Star hasn't been changing in her appearance. People that were possessed by the elements power were supposed to look it or the power would make them. When they looked like there power it was a sign of how powerful that element was. Star had complete power of the darkness element but still didn't look it. By now she should have black hair, dark eyes and pale skin, plus the tattoo's that symbolized the darkness element but, she still had her blond hair, blue eyes and tanned skin and no mark anywhere to show that the darkness element was in her.

"Wait. You're sleeping over at my house tonight right?" Star questioned. Ever since they were in the third grade they've either slept over at Lexa's or Star's. It was a tradition that they made popcorn, watched movies and talk about that cute guy on Fourth Street that Lexa had a crush on since grade five but, she still never figured out the name of him.

"Yeah! We have been since forever and I'm not breaking tradition now! But first I have to go to the washroom. Be right back," Lexa said as she was leaving the table. Star started to grab their stuff to leave when Lexa's bag slipped out of her hands and hit the ground dropping everything that was in it. Star started picking everything up. Lexa's math text book, her binder, a hair brush, a book on how to destroy all darkness, her gym clothes.... Wait what?!?! Star couldn't believe what she saw! Her BEST FRIEND was trying to destroy her element! Star opened the book to where it was book marked. The title said the breaking point...

The darkness element is the most powerful element and the trickiest element to destroy. Unlike the other four elements, light, water, fire and earth, darkness has only one main power source that has all the magic in it that the possessed person needs. The power source in question can be anything. It could be a bracelet, hair elastic; it could even be a penny.

The possessor of the darkness element will not know at the beginning of the transformation what their power source is. They'll have a feeling of closeness to it and it will be something they hold deeply with them...

After Star read that she knew what her power source was and she knew Lexa must know to. Which means she'll have to go get it before Lexa does.

Star bolted for the door, running as fast as she could to get home. If she knew anything about Lexa (and she did) then she would know that Lexa didn't go to the washroom...... Lexa went to destroy the power source. This would also destroy Star herself.

As Star reached her house, the first thing she noticed was that her front door was wide open and glowing with a bright blinding light meaning one thing. Lexa was already inside. Star ran inside and up the stairs only to see Lexa standing in Stars room holding up the necklace. The necklace that her mom gave her right before the crash, right before she lost her mom, right before the darkness element cclaimed her body as its host

"Don't do this Lexa. We need each other to even each other's element out. The world was born to have light AND darkness," Star said as she inched forward, trying hard not to set off Lexa in case she did something stupid.
