Blythe Potter was the light. She was brave, strong, kind, humble. She was everything that was good in this rotten stinking world that we, yes even you dear reader, live in. She was someone who everyone else wanted to be. She was the girl I fell in love with...
Blythe's older brother, James, and I were best friends in school. I remember when Blythe was born, I had met James in September of that year and it was Halloween.
An owl had come into the Great Hall, where everyone ate, and dropped off a letter to James, that day was November 1st, a day after Blythe was born. James was so happy. He showed our two friends, Remus Lupin and Peter Pettigrew, and myself a picture of little newborn Blythe that his parents had sent with the letter.
Blythe was very small, she had jet black hair, a lot of it for a newborn, and bright green eyes, eyes that came from her mother I later found out. She was precious.
I met Blythe in June of the next year. She was even prettier in real life.
I ended up spending the whole summer with with the Potter's. The Potter's accepted me as another son, my biological parents were horrible to me. The practically disowned me when I was put in Gryffindor.
When Blythe turned 4 I think all of us, Mrs. And Mr. Potter, James, Peter, Remus and myself, realized that Blythe was not normal. Blythe would read 500 page books in a matter of hours, she could talk as if she were 45, she was always smiling and happy. She was always a good person to be around. She was also very funny. And her laugh was wonderful.
When Blythe turned 5, Blythe started showing signs of magic. Blythe would turn tiny little flowers into normal sized flowers. She would biweekly send flowers to James, Remus, Peter, and I. She would send Remus extra flowers after a full moon, he was a werewolf. She would also send Peter flowers before he had to do a test or if his parents put him down.
James, Remus, Peter, and myself were an odd group.
Remus was bitten by a werewolf when he was young and when his father found out, he walked out. Remus' mom would work double shifts at St. Mungo's and they were barely getting by. Remus would always ask if he could clean and Mrs. Potter would pay him for whatever he did and would send food with him. The Potter's even built a bunker for when Remus changed. Mrs. Potter would always heal him when it was over.
Peter was always nervous and stuttering, his parents were very hard on him and made him have nerves all the time. Mr. Potter would tutor Peter on his free time away from being an Auror.
My parents were pure-blood crazy and were always awful to me. After that first summer the Potter's took me in as their unbiological son.
James was a trouble maker. But he also knew how to make everyone laugh. His parents were the parents everyone wanted.
Blythe was a lot like James in some ways. The both could make everyone laugh and they had the same untidy jet black hair and Blythe could pull off some mean pranks. But Blythe was also the girl that spent her time outside. She had a garden that was massive and she tended to it all the time. She was also very smart and accepting. She never argued or got mad, except when someone said something about her family or friends or about anyone really.
It was Christmas Eve when Mr. and Mrs. Potter died. Blythe was 9. She lived with James and Lily, James' wife, and their son Harry, until James and Lily died on her 10th birthday.
She was supposed to come live with me until I was put into prison on false charges of murder. She then went to live with Remus until she graduated.
When Blythe turned 11 she was accepted into Hogwarts. But she declined it and spent her time studying in the Potter Mansion with Remus as her teacher. She wrote to me every day.
