Halle Berry will be Raelynn's mom, Faith. I don't know why I picture her, but it seems to suit sort of. Of course, you can imagine who you want as her mom. You can also imagine the other characters as someone else, it's your choice. These are just the people I see potraying these characters.

Raelynn's POV

Andre is definitely different from what I remember him. More muscular, tattoos, taller and sexier. He still had the same baby face somewhat, but his features were harder. Before he left my house, we exchanged numbers.

I'm kind of excited to hang out with an old friend, a best friend at that.

I finished my dinner and went back to my room to lay down. A few minutes later my uncle came in.

"Hey baby girl, just came to say goodnight and I'm off to work," he said as he walked in. My uncle worked the overnight shifts at the prison. He leaned over and kissed my forehead.

"Okay, I'll see you in the morning Unc, night," he walked to the door and left off to work.

My mind shifted off to my mom as I stared at a picture of her on my night stand as I started to fall asleep.

I woke up to my phone ringing but I didn't want to answer it. I checked the small digits of my clock on the night stand. Who calls at 8 in the morning?

Checking caller ID, Dre's name flashed across my screen and I was tempting to ignore it but I know my old persistent best friend, he'll just call again.

"Hello," I said with sleep still in my voice.

"Morning babe," I could hear the amusement in his voice.

"You knew I was still asleep," I accused, ignoring the pet name. I sluggishly got out of bed and headed to my bathroom.

"Did I?" He feigned innocence.

"You did and you know it," I said as I got my toothbrush ready.

"Yeah, your right. Just calling you to let you know I'm on my way to pick you up and we'll have a day out to take your mind off things," he said. I didn't mind that to be honest, I was ready to see Andre again.

"How far away are you?," I said as a searched for my toothpaste in my box of bathroom stuff.

"About 10 minutes out, are you ready?" I could just hear the smirk in his voice.

"No, I'm not ready but I'm about to be, just gotta brush my teeth and slip on some clothes," I said turning on the faucet after finding my toothpaste and applying some on my toothbrush.

"Well hurry then. I'll see you in a little bit, okay?," he asked.

"Okay, bye."

"Bye."

I hung up and brushed my teeth and washed my face. Stepping out of the bathroom I headed to my closet. Jeans, jeans, and more jeans, it's to hot to wear jeans, so I chose a pair of capri's. I slipped on my blue jean ripped capris, threw on a my black Breathe t-shirt, and my black and white jordans. I let my hair fall in its natural waves down my back. My mom was of Indian, Mexican, and African-American descendant on my grandmas side as far as I knew. Just African-American on my grandfathers side. I am the same as well, a by-product of an Indian, Mexican and African-American mom and African-American dad.

As I was applying my chapstick after I put lotion on, I could hear a hunk of a vehicle from outside.

Peeking out the window I saw Dre leaning against a nice Chevy Tahoe. I grabbed my keys and phone and locked the door after me and headed to his truck.
