Chapter VII

Andre's POV

I woke up around 7:30 to get ready for work, I had to clock in by 8:15. I didn't live to far from my job so it didn't required me to woke up too early in order to get ready and be there on time. I enjoyed working, having my own money and not depending on anyone else to pay for my stuff, it was a good feeling. I have my parents to thank for that. When I finished getting ready, I texted Rae a quick good morning and headed off to work.

I pulled up to Laten Corporation and parked in the nearest spot in the parking lot. I got out and headed to the main desk to check in and get my employee identification card before making my way to the elevator. This building wasn't a big building considering it wasn't the main corporation and we only handled the smaller business in the area and nearby cities.

I took the elevator to the fifth floor of the building where my office would be and took a look around before I had to clock in, I had another five mintues until then. There was a bathroom and break room on my floor and my office was towards the back of the building. As I was walking to my office I relaized there was mostly women and they were definitely openly staring at me. A few of them were quiet beautiful, they don't hold a candle to Raelynn though.

As I was a few feet away from my door, one of the females made her way towards me. I tried to pick up my pace in hopes I could beat her to the door because I could sense she was about to hit on me, but luck wasn't on my side right now. The blonde-head, green-eyed, medium height chick blocked my door and tried to give me a sultry look.

"Hi handsome, my name is Amanda. Need help with anything," she asked as she batted her false lashes and pushed her chest towards me. I backed up a bit hoping she would take the hint and I wouldn't have to get rude with her ass.

"Absolutely nothing my office is right behind you. Now if you wouldn't mind I would like to get settled in," I said with a fake smile across my lips. She rolled her eyes, but still tried to push up on me. As she was walking past, she caressed my arm and told me if there was anything I needed to just contact her. That won't be happening anytime soon.

As I got into my office my phone vibrated. Sitting my stuff in the chair across from my desk I pulled my phone out of my pocket and saw Raelynn had texted me. A smile broke across my face unintentionally when I saw that it read have a good day at work. I texted her back asking if she wanted to meet for lunch around 12:30 and she was cool with it.

As it got close to lunch, I realized that I needed to register for the upcoming semester and finish my degree plan if I wanted to continue working here. I just needed one more semester and then I will be graduating with my MBA and I can get a upgrade in pay. The good thing about this company is they let you work while you're still in school and get some experience under your belt whether you end up working for their company after graduation or not. I plan to stay after I graduate, this company has good benefits and healthcare.

The clock read 12:23 and I started packing my stuff up to get ready and pick up Rae for lunch. I finished packing my stuff and rode down in the elevator to the ground floor and made my way to the parking lot. As I got in my truck I began to call Rae to let her know I was on the way.

"Hello," she said.

"Hey, I'm on the way to come get you," I said as I made a left turn.

"Ok, I'm ready," she said with her laugh.

"What's funny?"

"Just watching something on TV," she said on the other end.

"Ok baby, I'll be there in two more minutes."
