Nameless Poem #2

In the light, I am just another girl. But in the shadows, I am the queen of all things. I hide my face and hush my voice. Everybody says that I have no choice. If only they knew there was another side. A side only I can see. Then they'd never have to question what it's like to be me. On the other side there are fairies and butterflies. On this side there are demons and spiders. In the shadows are magical creatures of every shape and size. They cannot be seen with the naked eye. The only way they will reveal themselves to you, is if you prove that you are true. Only then will you gain their trust. If they find you false you will crumble to dust. They may be kind but they are not weak. They're the deepest parts of your soul that you refuse to leak. They're what you want to be, but you are what you're not. You'd change everything about yourself without a second thought. Now, close your eyes and go to sleep. They will watch over and protect you as you weep. You may not know how your story will unfold. But you know now that you have a heart of gold. You'll make it through trials and tribulations. You will not falter to temptation. I'll be right by your side every step of the way. Just know that you'll be okay one day. Hush now, you look weary. I'll see you in your dreams. So dark and dreary. That's all for now, I'll let you go, to fall asleep in the pure white snow.
