Danmau The Forbiden Story

It really is a beautiful day outside. 

The sun is bright, the skies are clear, and the sand is soft. I love it here.

It helps that I think I look pretty great in my magenta swimsuit. I was wandering around the beach with Garroth, Katelyn, Kawaii~chan, Nicole, Dante, and Cadenza when I looked over and the boys were both staring and blushing. Why are they staring at me? Its a little bit uncomfortable. 

"So are you guys done staring at me or what?" The immediate reactions were hilarious, I giggled and we decided that we wanted ice cream after the boys finished mumbling their apologies.

The start of the new school year is getting nearer and it's very soul-crushing to think about, I guess some of us are still excited nonetheless. I'd rather spend all my time out here with these idiots- my idiots. We passed by a couple shops and it became apparent we weren't going to find ice-cream. Sure, I'm a teeny bit disappointed but I wont let this deter me. "Lets find Gelato instead!" They all turned to look at me and going off of facial expressions I'm fairly certain that answer is no. "What? C'mon guys that actually sounds like a great idea." Aha! Thank you, Dante. I give my best puppy dog eyes and it works so yay Gelato time. I ask Katelyn to look up an address on her phone and then we change our direction when she finds a place.

Embarrassingly enough a little after we started walking I tripped on my own flip flop and fell, no one else but Dante noticed and he helped me up. This is already kind of cliché isn't it? The universe doesn't think so apparently because of course I fall again and this time onto Dante! How the heck do you do that twice! What even is air resistance? What is gravity?

I apologize the same time he makes a noise of surprise, its a little funny but neither of us are laughing. I'm blushing, we're so close to each other right now. "Are you okay?" He doesn't move but asks the question like there isn't a heavy girl on top of him. "Yeah I'm alright, I wouldn't be if you hadn't caught me." I smile and laugh a little bit and so does he. We realize how cheesy but perfect this moment is and we get silent.

Time doesn't feel real right now with him. I dont know if its been seconds or minutes, but I feel like I've been staring into his blue eyes long enough to see stars. We get closer, if even possible and our lips are just barely touching. My mind is screaming at me. My head is pounding, My heart is racing.

He leans in and I meet him halfway, its like the moment right before the big drop on a roller coaster, or the anticipation of a letter from college. Our lips touch and I'm warmed suddenly- it's like I've been waiting my whole life for this. The drop, I open the letter, I got accepted! I can't believe he kissed me. When we pull away he looks at me and I wanna say there's a sparkle in his eyes except its really bright outside and maybe I'm going crazy.

I want to know what he's thinking. What will happen to our friendship if it was just an accident to him? An in-the-moment thing? I get up and smile anyways and ask if he needs a hand. It's quiet again when he stands and I'm still reeling from the kiss but absolutely terrified of what's next. Good news? We're still holding hands. "Dante?" He answers with a "yeah?"

"I-"

"Hey guys? Are you okay, it took us a sec to notice you weren't following us." Garroth ran over and Dante dropped my hand and quickly adjusted himself. Wow, okay I dont want to be hurt by that but I am. "Yeah we're good, Aphmau just stumbled a bit and I wanted to help her. It's all good now, thanks Garroth." He chuckled a little nervously and rubbed the back of his neck. Amazing how easily you can lie, I might as well forget this if he wants to cover it up. "Yeah we're okay, mind if I catch up with the girls?" I dont wait for them to answer and wave a hand as I walk away. So that's how it's gonna be huh? Fine.
