Chapter 3

"BEEEP, BEEEP ,BEEEP"

I have to learn to put that alarm closer to my bed. Like really? Should I have to go all the way across the room to turn it off?? "Stupid", I mumble to myself. "Aphmau get up its time for your first day of high school!" My mom. Y'know I love this lady to pieces, but some times in the morning she can be a bit much. Oh yeah, she isn't just a morning person, she's the type to have breakfast ready at 7 just in time for her run.

"You make it sound like its gonna be fun BUT IT ISNT!" I'm not leaving this bed. "C'mon honey, its your first day and I even made your favorite." That piqued my interest, "I made you blueberry pancakes with a strawberry banana smoothie! Well, I didn't make the smoothie it was from yesterday." She laughed, "Up, up lets go." So I got up. Fine, no big deal. "Hey where did the girls go?" I could've sworn they stayed the night, in fact I remember hearing Kawaii~chan talking in her sleep about sweets. "They all left pretty early while you slept. Probably wanted to get ready at home." That makes sense.

When she left my room I went into my closet to try to pick out something cute to wear and ended up wearing a purple hoodie, ripped blue jeans, and black all star converse. I finished getting dressed so I went down stairs and ate the beautiful food my mom fixed up for me, then I left for school. I dont take the bus so I met up with my friends about halfway and we walked.

"So what's up you guys?" I hadn't seen most of them since the beach and that was like a while ago, crazy. "Nothing much, really just walking to school with you all. Its been a really slow morning." Garroth really sprouted over the summer and he looks really good, Just dont tell him I said that. "Yeah, I agree with you there buddy." Oh, and Laurence wow, I can no longer tease his height either. His hair looks great, parted to the side in a way it just flips and then flows... anyway. I turn from the boys and see Cadenza and the girls catching up with us, "Aphmau! Ready to conquer our grades? Maybe meet mysterious romantics and possibly fall in love and-" Okay I dont know about that last one, well unless I let myself think about-

"Cadenza! What are you talking about!?" So Laurence is turning red, haha nice distraction.

"No, what are you talking about, I didn't say anything." She started laughing and y'know what? I love that this is how our day starts because then Garroth started to laugh, and Kaitlyn and pretty soon we were all stumbling about, like complete idiots. Trust Aaron, though, to join us in walking and remind us where we were even going in the first place. "We better get going, would be best not to miss the first bell." We all agreed after Kawaii~chan backed him up while explaining every possible worst case scenario to being late. It really sobered us up and we got back on track.

Everyone was still listening to Kawaii~chan drone on and I took a moment to fall to the back of the group, Zane hadn't said anything.

"Hey Zane?" He looked up from the ground, "Are you coming or...?" He kinda looked really spaced out and maybe the first day of school wasn't an exciting event for everyone. " Um, I'm alright I'd just like to walk by myself." Not happening, I wont just let him walk here all sad and grumpy. "What? That's nonsense I'll walk with you." I can't tell but it looks like just a hint of a smile on his face, and it makes me feel all soft inside. "fine." I know he's happier than that tone of voice he wants everyone to hea

Wait did I just growl?? What's gotten into me!? Am I jealous of Garroth's brother? No, of course not. That would mean I like Aphmau and I dont. I'm her bestfriend, just her friend. Although I could become her boyfriend... NO DANTE STOP DON'T THINK ABOUT APHMAU LIKE THAT! Ugh, I don't think I'd even have a chance against Laurence, Garroth, Aaron and Zane anyways! Its pointless, but I cant stop thinking about that kiss at the beach. Gosh, Aph what have you done to me?

I should catch up to the group. "Hey guys! Wait up!" "Yoo whatup Dante?"
