Chapter 2

{Ash's POV}
When the ground cracks open we see the 3 people who we never wanted to see again. Those 3 people are The Shadowlord, The Enderdragon, and their leader Loki. We fly off as fast as we can, I'm happy that Jess is used to flying cause if she wasn't I might've dislocated her shoulder by now. We arrive at the Justice Hall and Jess and Jin pick up their hammers and we fly back to see our enemies gone. Jin seals up the ground and we start to look around. Sly and Jess fly, while Jin looks around and I try to sniff them out. I look up to see Jess and Sly flying hand-in-hand and smile. We give up after an hour and head back to Jess's house, when we get there I walk with Jess to her room. When I see that Jess isn't here I immediately take off my shirt and go to the mirror to look at my scared stomach. It has 5 diagonal scars from the lower left part of my ribcage to my right hip, while my back just has random scars all over it. As, I rub my fingers across them I start to sing a song Sly used to sing to me.

A foxtrot above my head, a sock hop beneath my bed, a disco ball just hanging by a thread

I got misty eyes as they said farewell
But I'll know where several are if my dreams get real bizarre
Cause I saved a few and I keep them in a jar

When I finish singing I hear a gasp, I turn around to see Jess standing there with a hand over her mouth on the verge of tears. "Who did this to you?" She asks with her voice cracking a bit. "I don't wanna say." I answer as I put my shirt back on. "If you don't mind me asking, How did you get your superhero abilities?" She asks with curiosity in her eyes and voice. "I can't tell you but I can show you." She nods and we sit on our knees on the floor, I grab her hands and interlock our fingers then I press my forehead against her's and close my eyes letting her enter my mind.
