Chapter 3

Flashback Starts
I was sitting in a cell waiting for something to happen. I guy comes in and grabs my wrist and drags me to a machine. He put my right hand and wrist in it and it brands me right below my wrist joint. I scream as the hot metal comes in contact with my skin. When I pull it out I see Exp #47 imprinted on my wrist. I begin to cry as he drags me to another room and straps me to a table. They put two needles one in each of my arms they inject liquified volcano ash into my blood stream. I scream as the burning liquid courses through my veins. Next, they inject wolf and eagle DNA into my other arm. When they do I feel my human ears disappear and wolf ears appear on top of my head. My canine teeth grow a few inches longer and my senses heighten. I also feel a tail grow from my tailbone, and wings sprout from my back. What's worse is that they're shooting electricity through my body in busts giving me an inhuman heart rate. I hear screaming as my body overheats and I'm engulfed in flames. The last thing I hear before I blackout is the machine exploding. I wake up in a burned building half-animal half-human with the ability to light on fire. I get up and stuff my wolf tail down one of my pant legs. Once, I look perfectly normal I walk out and look at my wrist seeing the brand which is never going to go away. I shift into a wolf and run into the woods and stop by a tree I shift again and cry my eyes out. To afraid of going home and getting beat I get up and walk away from the place I was born never looking back.
Flashback Ends
I sit back and open my eyes to see Jess crying. She looks up and says, "Oh, Ash I'm so sorry that you had to go through that." I shrug and stand up, I give her my hand and help her up. "It's fine just whatever you do don't tell Sly he'll freakout to no end." I say with a stern look she just nods with fear in her eyes. After that we head to dinner and meet up with Kala, then me, Jess, and Kala all had a sleepover in Jess's room while Sly and Jin sleep in the basement. The others put on pajamas and laid on Jess's bed since I'm half wolf I said that I would sleep on the floor and they can have the bed. I was in the bathroom looking at my scars again. I sigh and put on my blue and white plaid pajama pants and walk out still shirtless exposing my dark blue sports bra and scares. Kala gives me a sympathetic look as I shift and curl up on the floor at the end of the purple bed. I wrap my wings around me like a blanket but I can't sleep a wink cause of flashbacks and Kala and Jess's snoring. Since I'm a wolf I have super hearing, so to me even though their snoring aren't very loud to people it's loud to animals. I get up, walk downstairs into the basement to see the guys sound asleep and smile. I shift into my human form and since Sly's on his back I lay on his chest. I finally fall asleep to the sound of my brothers heartbeat smiling.
