8.) Classes

Hermione

After the announcement at dinner, everyone continued with their retinue with quiet whispers of him. After Draco encouraged me to eat a bit of dinner, we all headed back up to the Gryffindor common room. I know that I toke a nap earlier in the day, but I was drained. Before I came back to Hogwarts, I was lucky if I slept at all.

This morning, we have classes. I wake up to someone shaking me again, but this time it's Ginny telling me that we have potions first thing. I quickly change into my robes and grab my books. When I get down to the common room, I see that everyone waited up on me. 'How sweet'. It's very odd to see Draco and the other former Slytherins in Gryffindor color, but it suits them. Especially Draco. He looks very dashing and handsome. 'Wait...what?'

"You ready, Mi?" asks Theo, holding his arm out for me to take.

I nod and except his arm. But it feels wrong. Like I should be holding someone else's arm. When we get down to the Great Hall, we all sit where we did last time. I don't really want to eat, so I pull out The Tales of Beedle the Bard, and absentmindedly play with my shorter hair.

"Hermione, you need to eat." says a voice I recognize as Harry.

"Not hungry."

"Please, Mi." come from Draco. I look up to see him looking at me with a pleading look. So I grab an apple and munch into it, then turn back to me book. But from the corner of my eye, I see a smile spread across his face.

"We better get going." says Pansy and Theo at the same time.

"You two are so cute." I say.

"Are not!" again saying together.

"You're just proving my point." I say smiling. I feels weird to smile, yet it also feels good.

Draco

I follow behind Hermione and the others, as they joke and laugh about how cute Theo and Pansy would be together. It's good to see Hermione smiling, laughing, and joking again. It amazes me how bright and wonderful she is, even with all that has happened. It just shows how brave and beautiful she is.

"Draco? Are you coming?" a voice says, drawing me from my thoughts. Only then do I realize that I have stopped. Everyone looks back. Hermione then starts to walk towards me with a bright smile.

"Come on, or we'll be late." she says, taking my hand in hers, and starts running down the corridor and down the stairs to the dungeon. Doing it all while laughing, and I can't help but smile.

After classes, we head down to the lake to do homework and relax. It was Ginny who suggested the homework, thinking that Mi would want to go to the library, but then Hermione said that would be great but didn't want to be stuck inside. So I took them all to my favorite spot by the lake. You have to walk through a hidden cave that you would only find if you were looking for it. At the moment, we were on Advance Charms homework. I look for a second to notice Hermione staring absentmindedly at the lake.

"Hey Mi, are you okay?"

Everyone stops what they are doing to look up and wait for her answer, holding their breathe at what she will say.

"I'm okay. Sorry, I was just thinking about how you snakes are some of the best people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing." she said as she turns to me and grabs my hand. It's a small thing, but it sends shocks through my body.

As I look at Hermione stare at the slowly sinking sun over the lake, I realize what those feeling are.

'I am falling for Hermione Granger.'
