"And screaming, Are we we are, are we we are the waiting?"
Sara's P.O.V
A few days after that dream was exactly a week before my birthday, and I was low-key more excited than when Zayn came out with his new album. Theres something about celebrating the birth of someone you love is just fantastic to me, and celebrating mine is just a day to myself where I can be absolutely, 100%, me.
Amanda came over a that week before my birthday to spend the night. We drove around in my 2015 Honda SUV, given to me from my grandmother, who got her license taken away when she was 68, though she shouldn't have ever had from the start considering how horrible of a driver she actually can be. We went to the mall and she spent all of her work salary on me that she had earned the week before. I told her it was unnecessary, but she kept telling me that "it was her money and she could spend it on whoever she wanted to spend it on."
As we headed out of the mall, we picked up food and ate in the back of the Honda. It was an odd scene to see, but it was perfect for us.
"Amanda?" I asked.
"Hmm?"
"Do you think there are such things as soulmates?" She thought about this for a moment and shook her head.
"Soulmates no," she replied, "but I believe fates got to do with who ends up with who." I took this in and then said, "I believe in soulmates, I think that there's someone for everyone, just maybe someone ended up not finding their match."
"You're so optimistic Sara, borderline naive," she chuckled. I leaned my head on her shoulder and said, "maybe I just watch too many rom-coms."
She laughed and agreed, "your favorite movie is Revenge of the Bridesmaids, you watch way too many to count babe."
We headed back to my house after a while and went to sleep, but not before having our late night talks. I felt safe talking to her, and I was completely okay with everything, thinking nothing else could be a better birthday present.
