As they were slowing down, Justin had pressed back on the gas and put it into third gear, then shifting it back into fourth.
"Okay," Justin started, "Let's go." And on that note, they were off. Shifting, and turning. Turning into any turn or corner they could find until they finally lost the pursuers, they found the nearest gas station to refill and restock with food and water.
"That will be $21.74, please." Said the cashier. "And $40.00 for the gas."
As Justin pulled out his card, he remembered what he saw in the movies. If you use the card, they can follow every place you purchased something. So he ended up giving him the card, and then later went to the bank to withdraw every last penny he had ever deposited.
"I am thinking about moving, and need my money in a safer place. With me." He would tell the cashier. They would never question him either.
"So," Katherine asked, "Where to now?"
"Some place safe, off the radar." Justin replied. "I have a personal campsite in Austin, Texas."
"Austin?" She asked. "That is a long ways away babe."
"I know," he replied again, "But it is very safe, and no one will chase us there either."
"Okay," She said, "I trust you."
