Skylar's POV
All I could see was darkness. I opened my eyes and there was my mom and dad laughing looking at me through the rear view mirror. Then I saw white bright lights crash into us.
"AHHHHHHH NO MOM DAD!" I yelled jumping up in English class.
Everyone was watching me with wide eyes.
"Oh look the nerd speaks!" Jack said.
I look around with wide eyes and tears in my eyes from the horrible memory. I just stared at him with pure hatred. Him and the class burst out in laughter, the teacher looking at me with sympathy in her eyes. I wanted to yell and scream for them to leave me alone but nothing came out. They all watched me with their stupid judging eyes. I got up and left out crying. I knocked into someone but I didn't care. I ran all the way home. I got in bed and cried until I fell asleep.
I woke up to someone tapping my shoulder.
"Hey Skylar wake up!" The voice said while rubbing my shoulder.
"Mom!" I said opening my eyes seeing a bulky figure.
"No I'm sorry it's just me!" I saw Xavier standing in front of me with worry in his eyes.
"You rushed past me before I could ask what was wrong!" He said. I just stared at him and he did the same.
He started to say something but I just motioned him to leave. He looked confused.
"I'm sorry is it something I did wrong?" He asked with real worry.
"Your just like everybody else!" I whispered.
"Please just leave!" I asked quietly.
"Ok, what did I do?" He asked confused.
"JUST LEAVE OK!" I yelled.
He left out without another word. I walked around the house thinking about tomorrow.
Next Day
I woke up not in the mood. I threw some clothes and left. When I got to school I rushed to my first period class. I kept my head down and got ready for the daily torture. While the teacher was temporarily out of the room kids came over and hit me. I felt the same kicks, punches, and spit on me. They all sat down while I sat there in a bloody mess. Then to make matters worst Xavier walked in unannounced.
He saw me and looked around the room until he saw me there sitting in my own blood. His eyes got darker and even had me scared. He stepped out for a few seconds and came back in. He looked around again and then walked towards me, picked me up and took me out of the room only for me to see the nurse.
"Take care of her!" He demanded.
We were on our way to the nurses office when I heard feet walking behind us. I got scared so I silently told her to speed up.
"Wait!" Somebody yelled.
We both stopped and turned around to see the girls from my first period class standing there. All of them were crying. One stepped up, her name was Natalie.
"We're so sorry Skylar, we all swear to leave you alone!" She said with fear in their eyes.
I just turned my head and Xavier proceeded to walk off. The school day ended all to quickly and I left and went to my happy place.

I know your all probably wondering why I'm here right now.
Well today is the day I lost my family.
I thought things would get better in life but I was wrong because as soon as I looked over I saw Xavier on his knees with flowers in his hands. I got my backpack and got up. I guess he heard me because he looked up.
"Skylar wait!" He got up, but I had already taken off.
Xavier doesn't get that I'm keeping him safe. They will never leave me alone.
Never.
