Bad Boy Wants The Mute Girl?

Chapter 8

Skylar's POV

I've been here for almost 2 weeks. They won't let me leave because they think I am at flight risk. I still remember what happened with Xavier and it still kind of hurt me. I actually started to kind of like him, but then he just messed it up. He would have to find drastic ways to apologize to me. Anyway the food here is absolutely delicious. You would totally think that hospital food was nasty, but this food is amazing. Just as I finished up eating there was a knock on the door. I thought it was the nice nurse that was helping me so I said a quiet but audible 'come in'.

Who I saw made me scared immediately.

"So you tried to kill yourself to try and get away from me huh?" He said getting closer.

I whimpered as he got close to my bed and sat in the chair next to it.

"Please leave. You have no business being here!" I said sternly.

He looked at me with an angry expression, but I stood my ground and returned the nasty glare.

"I'm sorry who do you think your talking to Angel?" He asked causing me to cringe at the old nickname.

That nickname brought back many unwanted memories. It was all his fault. Everything is his fault. He is the devil.

"Hey I'm talking to you!" He said roughly grabbing my arm causing me to whimper in pain.

"Let me go you asshole!" I demanded with a deadly glare and ice taking over my voice.

He looked surprise at the way I had spoken to him.

"Bitch you must've forgot I own you!" He whispered angrily in my ear.

"Not anymore!" I whispered before head budding him and kicking him in the face knocking him out instantly.

I looked at him and thought about how I actually loved him at one point. He wasn't always like this. He used to be kind and caring until his mother died. His mother was like my second mom when I was growing up. His mom and my mom was best friends. He lost his dad when he was a baby when his dad was working in Afghanistan.

His mom and my mom were like sisters more than high school best friends. When my parents died his mom was killed a day after in a terrible accident at work. His mom was a doctor and one of the patience were 'listening to the voices in his head' and he shot her 4 times. He was murdered by a security guard in the hospital. At first Henry was okay, but he started to turn cold until I just stopped seeing him at all. When he came back he started hitting me and abusing me physically and mentally and that's when the whole mute thing became permanent.

"AAAH!" I screamed as I felt myself being thrown to the floor and being kicked and punched repeatedly.

"NO ONE IS ALLOWED TO HURT ME!" He yelled as he continued.

I cried out and screamed as I felt old broken bones being broken all over again. I heard the door open and heard screaming. I tried to stay awake but I was in so much pain. As I looked up I saw three figures fighting one figure. I tried to speak but nothing came out. I just blacked out. I don't know what happened after that, but hopefully when I woke up I would be safe.

Xavier's POV

I did a little research and found out a lot about this Henry guy. He was 2 years older than me and turns out he became an orphan at young age. Both of his parents were murdered at work and it seems he knew who Skylar was too. I went through many police reports and what I saw made me upset. He abused Skylar day in and day out. I saw pictures of her bloodied and bruised. I saw her medical records and so many things had been broken and bruised that they thought she wouldn't make it. How could someone go through something like that.
