Ch 10. Explain It

Well, hello friends and wowie look at this! Another chapter... *slow eye twitch*. Anyway I'd like to warn you all, this is were this story starts getting deeper. If you don't like the thought of insanity and stuff like that I suggest you reconsider reading this story... Oh and also this chapter is gonna be LONGGGG. Enjoy <3

-SANS POV-

A few weeks had past since the death of Ben. Madeleine and Peter were still furious with Maddison and Sienna while Holly didn't join the fight. As each day flew by, Maddison became less and less sociable. Unlike previous days, when I tried to help her she would push me away. Even Sienna, her best friend, couldn't speak to her without an argument breaking out between the girls. Something was terribly wrong. The phone rang and I hurried over to it quickly an answered it.

"Hello?"

"H-hey Sans. It's A-Alphys here!" 

"Alphys? What's wrong?" I muttered into the phone, stiffening slightly.

"Sienna and me were hanging out and she began to tell me some backstory. I stopped her halfway through and asked who it was about and she said Maddison. I want you to hear this!" Alphys cried into the phone.

"Shhhh... Alphys don't worry. I'll be there in a sec." With that I slammed the phone down and vanished out the door. In a flash of bright light I was standing out the front of the lab. I knocked on the door and was let in by Alphys herself. As I walked in I saw Sienna, sitting on a bed with her head in her hands. Hearing me and Alphys, she lifted her head and smiled. 

"Hey skeleboy." She muttered, a depressing tone to her high voice. You sat down next to her. 

"I heard you had some information that might help?" She nodded her head. "Can you tell me?" Another nod of her head.

"It all started in primary school. We went to different schools and knew each other from when we were young. Every time I saw her outside of school, she would complain about how the other kids would reject her. Friend after friend left her because of her found interest in monsters. Little did the other kids know that she herself was different. As time past we were reunited  in high school. Again, she was rejected. When she did find her group of friends, me and the others, she began to like a kid called Luke. By this time, she was a bold and strong girl. Nothing nor nobody stood in her way and Luke fancied that. Yet she was caring towards her friends and that boy, until one day..." She stopped for a second and caught her breath.

"Go on..."

"That boy destroyed her feelings. I don't know how or why, but he did; most likely due to her love for monsters and mythology. It took her a while to recover but when she did a new trait was added to her personality; Determination. Maddison had regained her bold attitude. She was like a brick wall, protective and strong. She vowed to make all equal, no matter what race or personality. She graduated as a mythological scientist, high level detective and (insert job here) . She was a skilled fighter and was recruited into the army a few years after high school. Thats when you all came out, led by the famous 'Frisk'. As you know, humanity turned against Monsters. Maddison, however, disapproved of humanities actions and went under cover with Holly, me and a bunch more people. For three months she planned war against the army. When the time came, Maddison had a large flock of people on her side. Together, with Maddy's and my own morphing powers, we raged a war on humanity. Maddison watched so many die, friend after friend. She killed dozens upon dozens of humans. She fought until finally her whole team had either been killed or fled. I had passed out due to wounds. Maddison, being swarmed by humans, grabbed me and rushed me up the mountain and next thing I know I'm lying on a bed of flowers."

I stood there, speechless. The blood on her clothes must have been human blood. Smiling, I shook Sienna's hand.

"Thank you. I'm sorry us monsters caused so much trouble for you and the others..." Sienna sat their, silent. Sighing, I got up and left, saying my goodbyes to Alphys. She had rushed the speech and I had only got a fraction of her story, I presumed. That was no good...

-YOUR/MADDISON'S POV-

You stormed out into the night, your hands gripped into tight fists and tail stiffened with worry. Sans had been gone for ages and you hadn't seen him. The snowstorm was heavy and despite your large black hoodie the wind pierced your skin. You treaded into the forest and called his name multiple times before taking shelter under a tall tree. You shivered as the darkness closed in around you and snow covered the ground. You closed your eyes and hugged yourself, breathing out white mist and letting yourself drift off.

{Time Skip}

"Oh look. It's the creature~" Your eyes bursted open to see Madeleine standing with Peter, their eyes filled with disgust. 

"The hell do you want, rat?" You snapped, flattening your head to your neck.

"How dare you speak to royalty like that!" Wait what? Royalty?

"What the fuck you mean by 'royalty'?" 

"Oh, a deal to capture you and Sienna for the king was all I needed to become your bitchy rat. Correction~ Bitchy rat Princess! Oh and by the way, you might wanna watch where that bag of bones goes. After all, new rules say that monsters that protect unwelcome humans must be 'pun'ished~" Your eyes filled up quickly with hatred. Gritting your teeth, you got up and walked over to the short girl, bending over her. Seeing her laugh at you, you lifted a clawed hand and slashed her cheek, sending blood flying along the white snow. Getting down onto your hands and feet, you stalked over to her and snarled. Looming over the scared girl, you put a hand on her chest and pushed down. 

"If you touch my Sans I swear to fucking god I'll make sure you go strait to hell!" You spat.

"Maddison!" You whipped your head around to see Sans, standing with a horrified look on his. In that one moment of shock you felt a sharp slash on your nose. Peter had rushed over with his pocket knife and attacked you. Turning back to Peter, you felt your body fill to the brim with anger. A blue flame engulfed your body as you changed. As the flames died down, you arose as the black wolf. Searing hatred gleamed in Peter's eyes and you bounded towards him, jumping up and snapping your large jaws onto his shoulder. Letting go of the screaming boy, you shook you head and changed your voice box to human language. 

"Fuck you, Peter." You sneered, your blues eyes piercing his skin. You licked your blood-splattered jaws and turned around, padding towards your home and leaving the two injured humans and the worried skeleton behind. 

Entering the house you morphed back into a inumimi wolf. You walking into Sans' room and put on some of your clothes before walking back down the stairs. You plopped down on the couch and sighed quietly. 

"Hey sweetheart." You jumped slightly as a deep voice ran through your ears. You looked up to see Sans leaning over the back of the couch and staring down at you. You looked away from him, wanting to be left alone. You frowned as he sat next to you, looking worried.

"Where were you...?" You asked, putting your hand to the bleeding cut on the bridge of your nose. You watched him sigh.

"It doesn't matter... Are you alright?" You flinched slightly as he moved closer and wiped the blood from your wound. "Now, tell me, can I help?" Hearing the kindness this skeleton was giving you, tears flew into your eyes and you collapsed into his arms. He slowly stroked your dark furred ears, making you calm down.

"I-I'm so sorry.. I d-didn't mean t-to hurt anyone! I just w-wanted-" 

"Shhh... I know..." He cut you off. Sighing, you let go of him and leaned back on the couch and yawned. "Tired?" Nodding, you yelped slightly as Sans picked you up and carried you to his room. Putting you on his bed, he lied next to you and hugged you softly.
