Ellise had been watching me react to my dad when he had told u's about the new pack member. She thought to me through the mind link, saying gently "it could be him u know,"

I replied, "yeah, I know."

It was Kellan who piped up and asked the first questions. "what's he called? And when?"

Dad smiled, "it's more complicated than that. Our new member is an alpha and is hoping to claim, not mate, an alpha female with a certain bloodline."

I froze, literally froze. My dad had said these words all whilst looking a me.  He wanted me to be claimed and taken to be an alpha somewhere else. No damn way! I had found my mate! But how could I tell them? It would be too embarrassing to admit he had ran from me. So instead, in true badass style, I kicked up a fuss.

"no way! No freaking way! I have a mate somewhere out there and I ain't about to be claimed when I ain't even had a chance to find them yet!"

"but-" began dad.

"no dad! I-"

I then realised my mistake. Nobody cuts an alpha off. Not even me. dads angry growl was unmistakeable. He towered over me, snarling. He only stopped when I whimpered and submitted. He gave me a sympathetic look now. "look, kiddo. Meet him, see him, get to know him. It's your own choice if you claim eachover ok? And if you Want to find your mate so bad, perhaps you should start looking."

I nodded. I couldn't argue. Instead, I soaked up the sad and sorry looks from around the room.

Later on, in my room, Isaac came in.

"hey tia. U ok?" he said coming in and sitting on my bed slinging a gentle arm over me. It felt wrong, felt like I was betraying my mate. So I shrugged him off. He gave me an uncertain look and raised an eyebrow.

"please don't be in a mood with me still."

"I'm not."

"then wh-"

"coz iz. Coz."

He sighed. "have you spoke to the vamp?"

"no. I might go find him though."

"no you won't.

Why not?"

"your not allowed on their territory that's why."

"caelan won't mind."

"what If he's hunting? He could hurt you."

"He wouldn't."

"fine. But your dad is going to be keeping tabs on you so I wouldnt yet."

I smiled. Isaac. He always wanted to help, even if it hurt him. He got of the bed, gave my hand one last squeeze, and left.

My life is so screwed right now.

Monday morning~~~~~~~~~

I yawn, still tired. Getting up I looked at my hair. Time to straighten it. After I had finished, I examined it proudly. Good job. I then put on makeup and checked my assorted jewellery and locket was on. The weather was warm and looked very summerey so I pulled out a crop top and dark shorts. Smiling as I went to my shoe closet I pulled out my black and blue converse. Grabbed my bag (with my unstarted homework) and went downstairs.  My pack all greeted me gently and kindly as I passed heading straight for the pack library. Ellise was sitting in a comfy seat looking out through the glass panel, waiting. When she saw me, her face lit up.

"mornin!" she hugged me. Why? I really didn't know.

"ellise?"

"Yeah?"

"car. Now."

We walked out to my new black Maserati convertible. It was a present from my dad yesterday, to say sorry for the inconvenience of this new alpha. I didn't get it? Why would a car be any help at all? Anyway, we got in, ellise still shaking with excitement. I wasn't. Oh no. I was planning bad ass stunts to get me through my day.

I had just the right one to start with.
