I remember when I was little, Antonio would take me to the fields to watch the sun go down. He would tell me how the day was for him, and what's happening in Spain.
~~~~~~~~~~~~"Maria" He said as he looked at you "Would you want to go see the sunset?". You were only a child as you nodded and took him by the hand.
You and him walked to a different field, no ocean, away from the sun. "Maria" he said again "if you had to choose fate or free will... What would you pick". You stared at him confused. His face had a mood change: serious, sad, anger. You trembled as you answered "free will". Spain look sadden as he looked at some men, coming for the horizen.
You look confused as they got closer. "Who are they?" You asked. "Maria... They are your new family..". Tears formed in your eyes "No! Your my only family! I don't want to go with them!" You sobbed.
"Maria-! Listen! Please.. I'm telling you.. Your free will let you to fate.. I knew something like this would happen" He said. You clingged on his legs and cried as the other men stared.
"Is she okay?" the other man asked. Antonio looked over "Yes.. She just needs some time to get used to it.. Teach her English.." Antonio handed You to him. You sobbed as he walked away and the other man walked with you the other way.
Your early memories of Spain where nothing but dust.
~~~~~~~~~~~~I now see what he ment. He knew what was good for me. That was my fate.. And his free will.
